The place is central to discovering Southern Ardèche: historic center of Aubenas, Ardèche gorges, Gerbier de Jonc and the Cévennes, Vals-les-Bains, villages classified as Vogüe, Balazuc, Antraigues-sur-Volane, as well as the Chauvet, Cocalière, Aven d'Orgnac caves, etc... Isabelle goes to great lengths to help her guests if a problem arises. She is always available by phone. The house is sparkling clean and everything is very solid. The house is super easy to keep neat. It requires a minimum of time, which is nice when you are on holiday. You will get tips on what to see and do in this beautiful region. The house is ideally located to explore South Ardèche. It is located just about in the center and from there you can visit and experience a lot, there is something for everyone! Culture, historical facts, nature, water fun and lots of sun are the absolute assets of this fantastic region!

As you can guess from other reviews, the highlight of this house is its hosts! Josette and Morand were exceptionally welcome and friendly, to the point that we felt that we had known them for a long time. The amount of information and recommendations about Ardèche provided by the hosts was sufficient for several more trips, which we may as well take at some point. The house is spacious and comfortable, well equipped. Despite the hot weather, the house stayed cool with south-side shutters shut during the day. The location is perfect: at the edge of the beautiful viallage of Saint-Sernin, away from tourist crowds but with so many trails, rivers and picturesque villages reachable by car. We even saw wild boars coming to steal grapes in the field at dusk! We were initially worried about communication as our French, to our shame, is very basic. But Morand quickly switched to almost fluent English. We are incredibly thankful to Josette and Morand for our stay.
