Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Ariel

We stayed at Oak View during the first week of June 2025 and had a truly wonderful experience. The home is beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was attentive and responsive without being intrusive. We spent most days relaxing on the deck, enjoying the peaceful surroundings—and even sneaking in a few naps. It was the perfect escape for a restful weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Jonathan’s home for our Valentine’s Day weekend. The house was beautiful and the views were amazing. Jonathan checked in on us to see if we had everything we needed and recommend local restaurants and places to visit he even gave us the time we should wake up to enjoy the sunrise which we did. All in all the trip was a 10/10 and we can’t wait to return!

Suzanne’s place is a beautiful house in a serene setting. We loved everything about the house - the well appointed furnishings, comfy beds, spacious kitchen stocked with everything we needed throughout our stay. The bathrooms were perfectly clean. The fully finished basement with a pool table and darts was a great bonus. The outdoor area was truly the crown jewel. We spent our days by the lake fishing and enjoying the surrounding nature. We hope to be able to come again.

We loved our time here! It was the perfect place to reconnect with friends and take a dip in the water. We would absolutely stay again and appreciate Deborah’s quick communication during our stay!

I am in two minds about what to write in this review. On one hand, this property is truly mind blowing. It has been designed beautifully indoors and there is so much attention to detail. And then, the view…I’ve traveled a lot and the view blew my mind. On the other hand, I’m not sure I want too many other people to know about this gem..because I want to come back. And I am hoping this review doesn’t make that more difficult.

SPECTACULAR! Tom & Carol are the nicest people you’ll ever meet and genuinely enjoy sharing their Piece of Heaven with guests. Anything you need, 24/7, just ask. Tom’s art & sculpture, inside & out, will blow you away! If you’ve stayed at their former AirB&B, the Art Cabin in the Woods, you’ll remember the little touches that made it magical, surprises at every turn - imagine that x5, that’s what you find here. GORGEOUS indoor space that’s colorful, whimsical and yet upscale & refined, from the radiant heated floors to the fully stocked gourmet kitchen..the cozy living room with the biggest TV I’ve ever seen to the bedroom’s atmospheric wall-mounted fireplace.. the PERFECT mattress & the deepest soaking tub these old bones have ever had the pleasure to melt in! True luxury Outside - hot tub, grill, fire pit, wood-burning sauna…3 decks, seating everywhere, and the views…all speak for themselves. 2 nights wasn’t enough, strongly suggest minimum 3, I’m already planning!!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was clean, spacious, very warm despite the cold, and had a terrific pool table and air hockey table. Our family relaxed and spent good time together.

This was a peaceful, cozy spot to enjoy a long weekend. The river view from both the house as well as the yard was a bonus feature. We spent the evenings enjoying the fire pit by the river and then retired indoors to the large, comfortable living room. Drew was very responsive to our needs of an early check-in which we greatly appreciated. 😊 We would recommend this spot. (Oh, the fishing had easy access, so we we enjoyed that as well.)

I loved my time at this location! The host Jefferey, was Polite, Friendly, and very accommodating! I spent a total of 8 weeks here. The residence was super clean, spacious and had everything I needed for my extended stay. The kitchen had ample utensils, pots, pans, and everything in between! If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, serene place to stay. I would highly recommend Jefferey and this property!!!

This was my second stay at Rob’s place, and once again it was a great experience. The house, tucked away in the Green Ridge area of Scranton, is quiet, charming, and full of character. It has that cozy, old-home feel that’s both welcoming and comfortable. Rob is a very attentive host—quick to respond and clearly thoughtful about making sure everything goes smoothly. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

Perfect for this 3 week long work trip. So much better than staying at a hotel. Very responsize host.

The stay was wonderful and very picturesque. John was very communicative and provided great recommendations around the place. The highlight of the stay was definitely the three barn cats who guided us to the front door and were really friendly and a delight to be around. The area around the house is really serene and peaceful and was great to walk around. Would 100% recommend this stay!

We just needed a place to stay on our way home, and so I chose this little place because it was cheaper than the big brand hotels and allowed our dog. So glad we did! Comfy beds and furniture, and honestly, the pictures do not do this home justice! The parking was a little confusing, but easily accessible once we figured that out. It was a little warm upon arrival but the window units quickly made it comfortable and the overhead chandeliers doubled as ceiling fans and that helped. We walked our dog in the neighborhood and felt completely comfortable. Also, a huge bonus, we tried the little coffee shop literally across the street -- Mansour's Market -- and loved it. Our waitress was friendly and attentive; their baked goods looked amazing; and our breakfast was delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich on a hard roll with Cooper cheese and bacon and am still thinking about it. Don't hesitate to stay here. Cute place!

They were not kidding when they named this bambis haven because we were able to get up close and personal with deers all over and even got to get friendly with the homes kitties.

Gorgeous little spot in a great location! Perfect for two! everything was comfortable and clean! we booked extremely last minute. Truly went above and beyond!!

What a great little studio for a Birthday get away trip to Bethel Woods concerts, etc. Relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake for coffee in the morning or a nightcap after your days activities. 2 restaurants within a 100 yards, the Tap n Table was excellent with really Friendly staff. Must have breakfast at least once at Bethel Market Cafe, the Best! All this less than 15 minutes in any direction. I would like to come back in the Summer to take advantage of the Lake activities. Wonderful stay!

This was by far the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. The cabin was warm and welcoming, and everything was clean and clutter free. But, the most remarkable part was the beauty, peace, and solitude!! We spent the morning through the evening sitting outside and taking in the breathlessness of nature. I didn’t feel the need to look at my phone once and barely knew what time it was. We found our peace on Stoneycreek Lane! We are definitely going to return! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!

I had a great experience at Josiah’s place! The Airbnb felt really cozy, Josiah was very proactive and gave great instructions about the place. I would definitely stay again!

This place is amazingggg. Such a perfect experience. I’m so glad I came here. I love it so much I ended up saying two extra days. I wanna keep it all to myself. I don’t even wanna tell you guys about it. 😂 this place really is as perfect as it looks. The beds are so comfortable, the view is amazing. The sounds are amazing. Everything is high quality. Heated floor and seat in bathroom. It’s so peaceful and private. There’s a Japanese style hot tub in the backyard that overlooks the river. And string lights thru the back yard. I love it SO much. Everything here is so intentional. Jenny did an amazing job with this place. And Jenny is so chill and fun. I don’t wanna Airbnb anywhere else - this place has ruined it for all other places 😂

House sits right on the lake, beautiful property very private but close to town. The open floor plan is so comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. The house was well organized and very clean. Communication with Anna was easy and very responsive. The hot tub was such a nice treat at the end of the day. Would highly recommend this home.

We were a larger group of a few families with kids... and the King Family's home was perfect for us! It was so spacious- we had 12 of us staying and honestly it never once felt small or crowded. We made good use of the grill both nights and also the campfire pit was a big hit for the kids. The house was SUPER clean and comfortable. The downstairs lounge was perfect for a kids movie night while the adults had dinner & drinks upstairs! Also, the outdoor pool is nearby and walkable. On a rainy day we drove over to the indoor pool and the kids had a blast! Hosts were friendly and responsive. Also we were close to a great nature sanctuary- a short 10 min drive- I highly recommend a hike around there! All in all a GREAT experience.

We had a great trip to Lake Harmony! The cabin was very cute and had everything we needed to have a relaxing and comfortable stay. The biggest plus of this location was having the pond right outside. I got to test out my new paddle board and the hosts had a canoe for us to use which was great. I recommend doing a little canoe ride at sunset! We did this both nights and was super relaxing and fun. We also got to enjoy a nice fire outside each night. There were also a handful of great restaurants within a 3-5 minute drive which was super convenient. Our only "con" (this was my mistake for not reading the description closely) was that we did not realize that the bedroom was a loft. The stairs up are pretty narrow and steep which was not an issue for us but just something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. This also makes for shorter ceilings so even though I am 5'2", I was only able to stand up straight at the taller points. Again, overall recommend this place!

Beautiful hidden property tucked down off of road. The place has everything you need and is so quiet n peaceful. The hot tub was great to relax in and was nice to see deer morning n evening grazing.

Beautiful scenery and a lovely house, we had a great vacation and enjoyed both staying in house when it was rainy and easily reach hiking and rafting places when the sun came out; Maxwell was very friendly and responsive, we warmly recommend this place
