Come and experience its portals, arcades and stone pavements embraced by the lake and green mountains. The silence here can be surreal, and will accompany you on a journey back in time. Bus lines C10/20 that depart every hour or so both to the upper lake and to Como. Boat trip on Sunday morning with return in the evening after sailing across the lake. From the village, you can climb to the mountains of Brienno with the characteristic farms (which can also be visited on request) or, for good hikers, you can go further to reach Alpe Comana and Schignano, also passing through the "Scala Santa" on a very steep mule track. Every morning in front of the Church (from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. from Monday to Thursday) you can buy basic food items from Davide, a merchant who with his mobile store offers typical products of Lake Como and Lombard culture such as cold cuts, bread and cheese. You can also buy fruit and vegetables on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Just 10 minutes by car you can find well-stocked supermarkets. 2 km away towards Argegno you can eat in a renowned Lake Como restaurant called "Il crotto dei Platani" with veranda and garden on the lake. Starting in August, the Bar/Restaurant/Pizzeria will also open right in the center of Brienno, within walking distance of the apartment.

You will like my flat for its enviable position in the historical center a few steps from the lake, from the rail, shipping, the best shops, bars and restaurants but also because immersed in utter stillness. Walk for 3 min on a cozy stone road to Argegno center and harbor for a nice boat trip on the lake, or continue another 5 min to the cable way to Pigra for nice views and mountain trekking. From here you can easily reach by car or public transport all best spots on Como lake. Ideal starting point for road or mountain bike tours.

Romantic, small 2-room rustic lovingly furnished in Caneggio is located in a sunny location  in the Muggiotal at 555 m above sea level, above Mendrisio. Great hiking area. Floor size of 16 m² each.  Dogs are welcome. Please contact us in advance. No parking is available right in front of the house. Access possible (without parking option - only stopover to unload luggage). For details, see "Guest access". Only suitable for people who are good walkers. Shopping right in the village.

Our accommodation is located in Como-Tavernola, close to public transport, such as Navigazione Laghi and Buses (200 meters), or go for a walk along the lake to reach the center of Como, while in the opposite direction to visit Cernobbio. The Villa Erba exhibition center is 1.1 km away while the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este is 1.9 km away. You'll love my place for these reasons: location.
