Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Couchiching

This is a beautiful place to stay, right on the lake with an amazing view, and a friendly beaver right next door! Our highlights were the hot tub, the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. This spot would be amazing in the Summer. The house is clean and well set up, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but just fine for sleeping. There is plenty of room in the rest of the house.

Stayed here our first time using air bnb. The place was beautiful and was exactly what the website said it would be. Felt very comfortable and at peace. I highly recommend this place!

My friends and I had the most wonderful girls' trip at Darlene's cottage this past weekend. The space was spotless, cozy, and very well stocked with all the necessities and beyond. We especially enjoyed the unique game room and the hot tub. Darlene even left us a s'mores kit, a bottle of wine, and a lovely note to welcome us! We highly recommend. 😊

Our group had a fantastic time! Tatiana and Tymur gave us space but were also very responsive to questions and messages. Check in was smooth and the accommodations were perfect. Although we didn’t have any kids with us, this place would also be perfect for people with small children. Lots of toys and a shallow sandy beach area for easy water access. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Shahrzad’s cottage in Innisfil! The place was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Shahrzad was a fantastic host—very responsive and thoughtful. The location was peaceful and close to the lake, which made it perfect for a weekend escape. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay at Steve’s cottage. Comfortable, super clean and had so many fun things to do! We really appreciated the gift basket and wine! It was enjoyed. Ty!

My husband and I spent the whole weekend with our family at this cottage. It was everything we hoped for and more! Beautiful interior, serene beach with dock, and lots of activities. Only a 5 minute drive to Port Carling shopping centre and restaurant’s. I highly recommend to plan a family vacation at this cottage in Muskoka! 10/10

Such a perfect little getaway spot. Super quiet and private — loved relaxing in the hot tub at night and hanging by the fire. The place has a dock with kayaks and paddleboards, which made the lake time extra fun. Everything was clean and cozy, and it just felt peaceful the whole time. Already planning to come back!

Beautiful, clean cottage on a beautiful lake! Loved the sauna and the deck down by the dock. Was the perfect size for the 6 of us. Kitchen was great, beds were super comfortable. Would come back for sure.

The place was beautiful, looking out onto a lake with clean swimmable water. And there was a beach only 5 minutes away. Everything inside the house was clean and well-stocked. Richard was also very responsive with any inquiries. Overall, a great place, very well worth it!

Katie and Derek's property is stunning and relaxing, and their responsiveness was also fantastic. The property is even nicer than the pictures show, and there is a great attention to detail with their decor and amenities (such as readily available bug spray). The location is great and has lots of privacy. It felt like an incredibly recharging experience! What really was above and beyond was their communication. There was a slight issue with the fridge, but every step of the way, Derek and Katie were very positive and accommodating. They responded to our messages promptly and helped us find a solution so that we could enjoy our stay regardless. With their accommodations and attentiveness, it was as if the issue had never existed in the first place. Thank you to Katie and Derek for an incredible stay, and we hope to rebook with you in the future!

Had a great weekend getaway. I was happily suprised that there has been some upgrades outsides since the last pictures were taken. We got everything we were expecting but I’d say overall the whole experience was much better then expected. Kathy was extremely responsive and helpful. I would recommend for anyone looking to stay somewhere with a close drive to the beach and a nice backyard to relax by the water.

My friends and I had a truly fabulous cottage experience here! The washrooms were clean and tidy, which made our stay extra comfortable. We also appreciated the entertainment options available. Even though the weather was a bit cool and the dock slightly tricky to manage, we had an amazing time using the kayaks for the first time! The host provided life jackets, which made our water adventures both safe and memorable. Another highlight was the sauna — such a relaxing and refreshing treat after a day of outdoor activities. It was our first time trying a sauna, and it was easy to use. We loved it! One more thing worth mentioning — one of my friends accidentally left her phone behind. The host and cleaning team acted quickly and efficiently, and the phone was returned the next day! Overall, we would absolutely choose this cottage again. The great location, cleanliness, well-prepared facilities, and the kind and thoughtful host made this a wonderful getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a great week at Daniel’s cottage - the perfect place to relax & unwind after a week exploring the sights in Toronto. Daniel was an excellent host - no question was too much trouble, & he was very quick to respond to any queries. The cottage & amenities were exactly as described and proved to be perfect for our family - especially our two 16 & 19 year old sons, with plenty of time spent swimming, kayaking / canoeing, riding the Peloton, or playing table tennis, table football, & the X-box. The location of the cottage was perfect, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding woodland. The rear deck was the perfect spot for breakfast or BBQ’ing in the evening & watching the sunset. We ate at the cottage most days with supplies from the excellent Canoe Stores & Bakery in Washago, which had us coming back for the pecan slices on a daily basis! We ate out at the Lock42 Grill, set in a beautiful location beside the canal. All in all we would highly recommend Daniel’s cottage.

My family was visiting from Ireland, and we wanted to give them a taste of cottage life. This Airbnb went beyond what we could have hoped for. I don't think the pictures do it justice. The island was private, beautifully designed, and spacious enough for six of us to feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. It felt like a home away from home. We spent our days fishing, canoeing, reading, eating well, and soaking in the stunning grounds and beautiful home. As to be expected with any cottage, bring bug spray for the black flies and mosquitos—especially if you're visiting in the warmer months. Stephen was a fantastic host: helpful and easy to communicate with. I'd love to make staying here a yearly tradition :)

Cottage is totally unique being on a point with water on two sides. Architecture is modern and very comfortable. Two larger bedrooms are the same size so great to share with another couple. Views include Goffat Island and McCrae Provincial Park so lots of greenery. With the pick of two sides to paddle you can stay out of the wind. I have been coming to Lake Simcoe for over 50 years and I have never heard so many loon cries! And trumpeter swans for visuals. Firepit has great views! We had a great time.

This cottage is perfection. Liane & James are just SO lovely. If you're reading this, don't look any further. Just book it. We couldn't have had a better week at Follie's Cove. The cottage was the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. We felt at home instantly. The sunroom was the perfect chill spot for us and our two big dogs to get out of the sun/rain without feeling cooped up indoors. The beach was heaven for our dogs, and on a quiet end of the lake, so we saw few other people all week. The quintessential Muskoka experience! Liane and James were *beyond* wonderful. They set us up with a ton of breakfast food and desserts. Even offered to return the day after check-in to drop off more coffee. It truly felt like renting from friends. Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat from them and puttering around the lake. Wish I had more space to gush about the space and their incredible hospitality. We would book again in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely stay at Navid’s place! The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities you could think to need. The property itself was beautiful, with a well maintained deck, and easy access to the water. Navid was a very responsive and kind host. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again!

Had an amazing weekend stay with a family of 6 plus a pup - enough of room for us to sit lakeside and enjoy indoor dining. We had a blast using the many water toys and stocked garage with lawn activities. The many aircrafts flying overhead added interest as well!

Absolutely perfect stay! John was an amazing host—friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. The house itself is stunning: beautifully maintained, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is unbeatable—peaceful, scenic, and close to everything. 10/10 – would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful view of the lake, and appreciated all the water toys available. The water was calm, nice and clear and this is a great location for families. Big kitchen was perfect to use for our group of 6. Some small upkeep is needed in the interior, but overall great value and comfortable stay!

This place is extraordinary! Beautiful space to be in with a great bit of lake to enjoy. Would highly recommend, and hope to return myself some day.
