Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lake Erie

We had an amazing time at Franny's peaceful and serene cottage! The fall colors were stunning, and we loved the beach (a bit of a steep hike down, but worth it), where we even found fossils and semi-precious gemstones. Our dog had a blast playing with their dogs, which made the trip extra special. The cottage itself was rustic, spacious, and cozy, with good internet, though there was little to no cellphone signal. One of the nights, the host prepared for us a lovely campfire. The beautiful cliff views of Lake Erie were unforgettable and made us want to come back again. Highly recommend!

My stay at the Rock House was incredible -- absolutely one of the most unique, spotless, adorned, and beautiful homes I've had the fortune to stay in. Tamela was proactively helpful, gracious, and curates a comprehensively equipped space -- everything you could hope for in an Airbnb host! I appreciated all of the touches that made my stay seamless, as well as the very comfortable beds. The location is also very peaceful, historic, and walkable. 10/10 stay; do yourself a favor and stay at the Rock House whenever you find yourself in the greater Detroit area!

Wendy's Lakehouse was exactly what my husband and I needed for our mini-retreat after our daughter's wedding. We were mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted when we arrived; but after a couple of days of complete quiet and privacy in the house, walking and laying on the private beach, listening to the water, watching the sunsets, and basking in the fresh Lake Erie breezes: we felt restored and refreshed. The only thing that disappointed us was that we couldn't stay longer... life rolls on! 😅 Within hours of our arrival we were making plans to return- next time with our 4 sons- as soon as possible! We even were dreaming about bringing future grandkids in years to come! 🥰 Thank you, Wendy, for providing this peaceful retreat!

This house is amazing! Patsy and Charlsie put a lot of thought into creature comforts - chargers for electronics in strategic locations, plenty of blankets for lounging, lots of seating, Keurig with kcups, as well as shampoo/conditioner. Not to mention plenty of reading material for those early mornings. The house is very cozy and well maintained. We felt immediately at home. We never felt like we were in someone else’s home. The deck area is beautiful but the weather was uncooperative so we were not able to enjoy it as much as we wanted. Wheatley itself is very quaint with a few excellent options for food - iScreams, and Renny’s to name a couple- but Leamington is a short drive away and has more choices. We had a great time and had no trouble communicating with Patsy or Charlsie. They were proactive in getting information to us and very responsive when we had questions. I highly recommend this location! Patsy and Charlsie really know how to host an AirBnB! Two thumbs up!

We had such a great stay here! The lake was beautiful and having access to all of the watercraft was so much fun! There were some kid toys out that my kids enjoyed playing with too. It easily fit 7 people with room for more! The host was also very easy to contact and communicated with us quickly and often about anything we had questions about. We would love to stay here again in the future and would recommend to others for sure!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience all around. Luminita and Scott's house is truly a gem on Lake Eerie and the views and vibes are immaculate! The house was extremely clean and well kept - we felt at home right away! It had everything we needed and more - the hosts thought of every detail and everything was easy to find. Luminita was very easy to communicate with and she provided some great recommendations of things to do and places to eat in the area! We really loved walking around the neighborhood, visiting the beach and enjoying all the wildlife - especially all of the turtles! We would love to visit again and highly recommend this beautiful place! Thank you Luminita and Scott for making our girl's weekend so memorable!

Beautiful home! Spacious and comfortable! Backyard was completely fenced in, and the neighborhood was quiet! The kitchen had almost every type of appliance and utensil that you would want for a “staycation!” The hot tub was also delightful and well maintained! And plenty of towels! We look forward to coming in the summer

Excellent spot. Exactly as described: hot tub is indeed hot (and clean and works well), beds are very comfortable, it is easy manage temperature, the shower was great, and kitchen well stocked. All just perfect. Isabelle was very kind and helpful, too. Would recommend and would return!

Lana’s cottage is perfect walking distance from the beach and along the walk you can explore all the shops that line the street. The decor was really well done and provided a home away from home feel and the fully stocked kitchen including coffee and spices was convenient for cooking. The host was very helpful offering clear instructions and flexibility for check in and check and was gracious enough to assure us that if we needed anything during our stay she was nearby and happy to help!

Host Mama’s place was fabulous! The house had everything we needed and more. It’s in a perfect location close to everything. Host Mama was kind and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

We're very familiar with the area, so the location was great for the places we knew we wanted to visit during our stay. Comfy bed, hot tub was great, fireplace was nice since it was sort of unseasonably cool for late May. Would definitely stay again!

Marco was a great host and we loved the space. It was exactly what we were looking for and can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

My hubby and I wanted to get away for a couple nights because it was our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet, clean, close to a couple towns for shopping, close restaurants that were excellent service and delicious food as well as a river that was <5 minute walk that you could watch the sunset at. We would definitely go again. Hosts were great and very easy to contact.

As so many reviews have said, Wade is truly a super host and this is a special place to stay. So grateful to have come!

We had a great stay during our weekend up at Port Clinton. The condo is in great location within walking distance to most everything. A great sunset view from the deck made my weekend complete!

We had an excellent stay here. The location is incredible with a gorgeous lake view and amazing sunset view. Indoors it was spacious and very nicely decorated. We particularly appreciated that the airbnb was stocked with everything from kitchen supplies, washroom, even BBQ supplies - we didn’t need to bring a thing. Very well thought out. Gary was an excellent host, very responsive and attended to any question right away. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Had a great bachelorette weekend at Grace's beautiful home. Very comfortable, beautiful and clean. So close to a beautiful walk along the lake too. Would love to stay again!

The view of the vineyards from the open space living room, dining room, & kitchen was breath-taking. And the white Sauvignon Blanc produced by the Alvento Winery was special. This is a great spot for a group of six to eight friends - would highly recommend making the time for the complimentary wine-tasting while there too! Oh, and Ubers are plentiful!!!

We had a great time at Harpreet’s villa on lake Eerie. The view of the lake with naturalized area in between was heavenly and peaceful. Lots of different bird species make you feel like you are truly away from the city. The kids stayed thoroughly entertained in the games room while the adults enjoyed the comfortable living quarters. The kitchen was clean and functional and the bbq was spotless! Overall a great getaway.

Our two families - 4 adults, 5 teenagers - spent a week here. The accommodations are absolutely lovely. We woke up to a gorgeous view of the lake every morning and enjoyed the beach, the pool, and the hot tub. The kids loved the game room! And the casita is steps away from the main house; we felt no security concerns with having three of our children sleep there. While facing the lake, the home is backed by private woods and a long drive. The adults enjoyed walking/running both on the shore front and on the nearby Friendship Trail - a paved path through the woods. The Falls were a 30 minute drive, Niagara-on-the-Lake and the wine region were a 40 minute drive, and we also took the GO train to Toronto and spent a day there. Otherwise, we lounged at home. And on those days, BBQ enthusiast Brad Billard at cnddrumsmokerandco cooked for us, recommended by our host, Teri. His meals were delicious! We recommend the smoked brisket and the pork ribs. All in all, a winner of a property!

Nice place. nice location. water massage chair was great after a day hiking. I don't think this is something the host can control given the location but we didn't leave the doors open for any prolonged period and we still had 3 large flies that got in and we had 2 wolf spiders we found.

very responsive host. place was beautiful and very spacious. Justin was super helpful and friendly and the place was amazing. I would give a A++++ and would definitely stay there again
