Holiday rentals with a patio in Lake Hayes Estate

I would definitely book this place again. The location was perfect, the scenery from outside the balcony and seeing that view everyday in the morning and night was beautiful and overall the amenities and services given and provided were great. What I loved the most about this place was the location, it was a walking distance to QT CBD where we did quite a few activities and attractions such as the “Skyline Gondola and Luge”, “KJet Boat Ride”, “Fear Factory”, “Ice Bar” just to name a few popular things to do in QT and many more. Although, there was one thing I disliked about the area was the driveway. There is a steep hill to get to the place so if you decide to drive in definitely wouldn’t recommend a big car especially when the road is wet as it could be a struggle for some people driving up the hill. Other than that, nothing else I could dislike about the place besides the steep driveway. Thanks to the host team for accommodating us and being super responsive.

We highly recommend this accommodation! From start to finish, Tom, our host, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfectly tailored to our stay. We were warmly welcomed with a thoughtful gift, and Tom checked in regularly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The unit itself was spotless, cosy, and warm, a true home away from home. And the views..OMG.. Absolutely breathtaking easily the best in Queenstown! Every detail was carefully considered, making our holiday truly relaxed and stress-free. A heartfelt thank you to Tom and the entire hosting team for such a memorable experience!

Oh where do I begin…Sararose and Jules family has the most charming apartment nested in an incredible mountain valley. But what touched my heart was how everything was designed and built in this apartment, and I really mean EVERYTHING. From the fully equipped and stocked kitchen to the cozy fire place, to the spotless bathroom, everything is thoughtfully placed and made by hand. Craftsmanship can be felt everywhere. It’s such a warm welcoming space inside out. The window seat is no joke, exactly as shown on the photos. Come here, you will find everything you will ever need, inside out.

We really appreciated having a clean, convenient space for our 2 night get away to the city. We are from the states staying in Twizel but wanted to come to the city for a few nights. The place was perfect with all the amenities. Great for kids. Loved the balcony views! Can’t beat it!

Tim’s place was absolutely stunning! The views are incredible and the home is the perfect size. We’re a young family with a toddler and the space was excellent, the front deck overlooking Shotover was a great spot to burn toddler energy. It was easy to find, Tim’s directions were clear and easy to understand. Close to Queenstown itself but also to Arrowtown which was perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The host is friendly and always quick to reply and eager to help. During my trip, I had a small unexpected issue, and the host went out of their way to assist me. I really appreciated their kindness and support. The apartment itself is well-organized, and very comfortable. It had everything I needed, including a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, as well as a washing machine and dryer. I would love to stay here again if I return to the area:)

The place was simply amazing with amazing views. It was well maintained and it had fully functional kitchen.

What a beautiful place and the kindest hosts you could ever hope to meet! The location is absolutely perfect, and the surroundings are so peaceful! You can feel your stress evaporate as you listen to the birds outside on the deck, sipping your favorite beverage (morning or evening), feeling the sun, watching the sky full of stars. Beds are comfortable, and true blackout curtains if you don't want the morning sun in your eyes lol. Shower pressure is AWESOME, which is a rarity I've found. But what makes a stay truly great is your hosts, and no one could ever ask for better than Kathryn & Nick. This girl with little experience in building fires in Hawaii needed some help, and Nick was happy to oblige, and now I know the upside-down method, which has served me well already in another place! So kind, so friendly, just really invested in your having a great stay. Thank you so much, Kathryn & Nick!

This is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! The house is absolutely stunning—spacious, immaculately clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay so comfortable. The highlight, without a doubt, is the breathtaking view. Waking up to such a gorgeous scenery every morning felt like a dream. This beautiful home made our first trip to Queenstown truly unforgettable! My family couldn’t stop talking about how special this place was! This is a truly beautiful home and now our second stay! We love the views, location, the jet boats passing through and all the wildlife the natural environment provides. We prefer to commute to town on the water taxi to avoid the busy traffic. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home.

Absolutely beautiful! We had 2 friends join us Queenstown from the USA and they, like us, were amazed at the beautiful house we stayed in. The view of the mountains looking out of all the large patio doors and windows was awesome. The whole house was beautifully furnished and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Fiona was quick to respond to anything we asked. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the house.😁

We enjoyed our stay at Elles home very much! It is very cosy, and has all the expected amenities inside. Jacks Point clubhouse is a short walk away, and has nice food and coffee. The scenery around Jacks Point is absolutely stunning and we will be back!

We had a wonderful stay! Our hosts were welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. We felt right at home. The property itself is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own meals. It struck the perfect balance: private and peaceful, yet just a short drive or bike ride to some good restaurants. We especially appreciated the little touches that made the space so comfortable. The highlight for my family was Rusty — the hosts’ friendly dog who quickly became a daily companion and source of joy for my child. Watching them play together was such a delight and added an unexpected charm to our visit. This was easily one of our favourite BnB experiences and we would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended for families looking for a restful, well-located getaway with heart.

We had the most incredible stay! The place was immaculately clean and had absolutely everything we needed — and more. The highlight was definitely the amazing hot tub overlooking stunning snow-capped mountains—such a dream to soak and unwind with that view. Fiona and Michael are truly the kindest and most thoughtful hosts — so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. We felt completely at home. Ideal place for walking into Arrowtown, where restaurants and walking tracks only 20 mins walk. Beds were very comfortable and warm. Heat pump was always a winner on those cold mornings . So quiet, I didn’t know Laura was next door with her lovely family. Washer/dryer worked well. No one likes to wash coming home after holidays. Thx again Laura, I will be back next year! Heather

We had a lovely and enjoyable stay at Queenstown Mews! We visited Queenstown with our young kids for my husband running the half marathon and this was a fantastic place to stay with young children. There is a beautiful lakeside playground and coffee shop only a stroll down the street through a beautiful garden and everything was in walking distance. Also the dryer and washing machine were fantastic and a must travelling with young kids!!

This property was our home away from home for a whole month! First, we appreciate Guy's proactive communication. There is plenty of living space, and the best part is the spectacular view of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains from the living room balcony. We felt grateful to wake up to it daily. All the basic amenities are included, including cooking supplies/equipment, extra linens, and toiletries. The washer and dryer units were so helpful to have. The garage was also perfect for storing my husband's mountain bike. It's a 10-15 minute very steep walk to and from downtown, so anticipate getting fit during your stay. :) Heads up to future guests who prefer a more tranquil vibe - there is notable noise during holidays and peak periods. The condo complex gets quite busy with visitors frequently being shuttled in and out, so there are car doors slamming, loud voices, etc. which can be heard from the bedroom windows. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and we would return again!
