Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Huron

Our family enjoyed a nice, quiet stay at Sarah’s place. The view is beautiful, living space is spacious and comfortable, with good wifi, and fishing at the dock is a great way to enjoy some relaxed time. Sarah is very responsive for questions, which we thoroughly appreciate.

Had a great family getaway for a few nights. Peaceful surroundings, easy to find, and close to amenities if needed. Lovely cabin!

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

This place was beautiful and right on the water. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed it. We had enough kayaks to have fun in the water. The location was very private and peaceful.

Chorong was a great host! Leading up to our stay she was extremely responsive as I had a lot of questions! The house itself was stunning. Clearly it is taken care of and maintained very well. All of the beds were so comfortable. Outdoor area was a lovely space. Would definitely like to come back in the winter as I am sure the scenery is beautiful.

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

It is a beautiful, secluded area on Pine Lake with the back facing west (Make sure that you enjoy watching the sunsets from the living room area or the hot tub!). There was plenty of equipment by the dock for us to use and enjoy on the water. The kids enjoyed paddling and swimming in the lake. If you are looking to work remotely, the internet connection was solid as my friend decided to work. If you are looking to switch off and go analog - it rained heavily one day there, but everyone was entertained with the all of the games and puzzles that were supplied at the cottage. Our Great Pyrenees dogs enjoyed roaming the site. We had an issue with the BBQ, but with some quick messaging with Jesse, he was able to get someone out to the cottage to fix the issue. It is a bit of trek to get into the cottage by vehicle, so I recommend that you enjoy the seclusion of the site - it is worth it! However, it is easy to get into town if you need to go there. Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Jas was an amazing host—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a great host!

Great getaway! Went fishing by the bridge and watched our friends paddleboard on the lake from the hottub. Had a great time!

Host allowed us to check in early way ahead of usual check in time which was great. Had an extra full day to enjoy the cabin right by the lake with private beach access and lots of gear provided by the host (Kajak, Kanu, Boat etc.). Cozy little campsite with fire pit and chairs. Great view of the lake and fall colours. Very quiet despite neighbours to the right and left. Vast selection of DVDs for movie night. Short car trip to supermarkets in Huntsville. Had a great time and would definitely recommend it. Easily accommodates 4 adults.

We had a lovely stay and would recommend this home again. It is as described, and exactly as the photos show. It has basic decor and finishings but was well kept. The view of the lake and fire pit were really nice for a summer night. Thank you for hosting us!

This cottage was amazing. The place was entirely as described and the prior reviews were spot on. Roxana was very helpful, gave tons of recommendations and was very kind and responsive. Kitchen was well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, the AC was perfect and I literally can’t think of a single critique. A really nice touch with the s’mores station that my kid basically ate all of. We will definitely be back!!

We stayed at Magdalena & Hubert's Brownie A Cottage during the Victoria long weekend. The hosts were amazing, communicative, and responsive throughout. The cottage was peaceful, clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen. I would recommend staying here for anyone interested!

Great little beach house for our family of four and pup! The resort is quiet and very relaxing. The pool, beach and kayaks were a big hit with our kids. We appreciated the puzzles and boards games on our last day, when it rained.

Sergio and Dianne’s place is wonderful!! Excellent location, you can see the lake right across the street. It’s super close to downtown and the neighbourhood is quiet and gorgeous. The cottage is very well equipped (they even provide beach towels!) and you have everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the AC works very well (so don’t worry about very hot days). 5/5 for sure!

We’ve been coming to this cottage for five years now, and it truly feels like our home away from home. We love it so much, we now go twice a year! It’s the perfect getaway for families, incredibly kid-friendly and so well thought out for people with children of all ages. It’s peaceful, welcoming, and has everything you could possibly need. The cottage is always spotless and so well-maintained. Every visit leaves us more grateful than the last. Vanessa is absolutely amazing, she’s so accommodating and always quick to respond if we have any questions or need anything. We can’t say enough good things — highly recommend to any family looking for a relaxing and fun-filled escape!

My partner and I stayed for three nights in mid June. The cottage was lovely and the area was beautiful. We loved spending time in Goderich, walking along the beach, watching the beautiful sunset, dining at wonderful local restaurants, and hiking in the forest.

Simply the most exquisite home we have ever rented. Tasteful, understated elegance flowing throughout. Beautiful landscaping. Expansive Lakeview. Very private location; floor-ceiling windows everywhere. Large covered deck off primary bedroom, comfortably furnished was a lovely retreat. Many considerate, personalized touches: monogrammed soaps, chocolate, robes(in every room), wine, flowers, hand scrolled greeting. Comfortable beds & furnishings of high quality. Well equipped kitchen . There was an ineffable feeling in the home of being a genuinely valued guest-not just a customer! We loved the town of Port Dover, amazing shops & restaurants with great prices & varied selection. The cycling trails were fantastic, and accessible from the cottage. We also found many lovely forest trails. We were sad to leave & can’t wait to return. The design and materials that have gone into the creation of this house and property are astounding and it’s a privilege to experience staying here.

Absolutely beautiful Cottage right on Lake Huron. Original wood floors, wood beams, stain, glass windows, and lots of windows overlooking the lake. Very comfortable living room. Very private and peaceful. Nice beach. We’ll come again!

We have stayed here before. Loved it the first time and second just as much. My kids had a lot of space to run around safely and enjoy the outdoors. The private beach is a mega bonus, though be careful as it is quite rocky when entering the water.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Priolo on the Bay – Moody Escape, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Andy is a truly exceptional host. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a luxurious yet cozy escape. The cottage itself is immaculate – modern, stylish, and unbelievably comfortable. It strikes the perfect balance between high-end living and rustic charm. Tucked away in the heart of nature, it still offers every convenience imaginable: from fully stocked cutlery and snacks to campfire treats, firewood for both the sauna and outdoor firepit, a gas oven, extra lighters—you name it, it was there.The interiors are spotless and beautifully designed, making the entire space feel like a warm, peaceful retreat. Sitting by the fire, unwinding in the sauna, or just enjoying the serene forest surroundings—it all felt like a dream.This is the kind of place that makes you not want to leave!

Kim's place was beautiful! Excellent view and private beach which made it worth every penny. My kids loved it. We will be back next summer.
