The Chalet is located approx. 4.5hrs from NYC by car and is the perfect place to: escape the city, rekindle a romance, ski/ride Whiteface Mountain, hike, fish and so much more!

Our fully equipped seasonal cottage is on the Salmon river 15 minutes north of Malone and close to the Canadian border. We can provide info on visiting Montreal as well as the Wilder Homestead, fishing and hiking trails. We have an appetizer or home made soup waiting for guests on their arrival. Only .7 miles to the Jay Covered Bridge, 3 miles to the Jay Mountain summit trail head, 7 miles to Whiteface Mountain, and 16 miles to Lake Placid. Keene and Keene Valley trail heads are only minutes away. The cabin has 3 acres of wooded property with a front driveway as well as a back access drivweway which is nice to walk. Beautiful log cabin located on the edge of a small private lake (no motor) where only residents have access. A second swimmable lake is easily accessible within a 5-minute walk. It includes a large mezzanine bedroom upstairs, as well as a small bedroom on the ground floor. It will charm you with its tranquility and the nature that surrounds it. Several tourist attractions are just a few kilometers away for adventure enthusiasts.
