Little Owl Cottage

Lovely cosy cottage for one or two set on our little French farm in the beautiful and peaceful North Dordogne countryside. The cottage is nestled in 30 acres of fields and woodland where you can watch our many animals pottering around enjoying their sunny French retirement! We are halfway between the pretty villages of Mialet and Saint-Jory-de-Chalais which are well serviced with shops, bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Both villages are less than 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot.

This peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing stay at the borders of Dordogne/Haute Vienne and Charente to recharge your batteries as a couple or family. Ideal place for walking in the forest and along the river. You will find in the immediate vicinity: An international golf course (3 km), a tennis court (5 km), equestrian center 2 km away, canoeing activity 1/4 hour away (Montbron) and Lake St Mathieu or Verneuil with beach 20 km away. This charming and spacious apartment of more than 50 m², dating from around 1640, is a wonderful place to stay. Thanks to the authentic, thick natural stone walls, it stays wonderfully cool in summer. Towels, bedding and kitchen towels are already ready for you, and you are welcome to make free use of our garden and natural swimming pond. And of course: everyone is welcome with us. We are LGBTQI+-friendly and believe in a place where everyone feels free and at home!

Located in the countryside, in a wooded area, the cabin is 3 minutes from all amenities (bakery, organic grocery store, supermarkets, frozen food store...) and 3 minutes from the heart of Saint-Junien, (weekly market on Saturday morning, covered halls, bars, restaurants, doctors, hospital...). It is also 10 minutes from the Oradour-sur-Glane Memorial Centre and 20 minutes from Limoges, City of Arts and Fire, famous for its porcelain.
