Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Leinster

What can I say about Crow’s Hermitage that the other reviews haven’t already captured? If you’re considering other options—stop looking. You’ve found the perfect place. As many others have noted, the photos can’t possibly convey the enchantment that settles over you the moment you arrive. From the character of the home to the serene outdoor spaces to the thousand-year-old parish next door, it feels like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. When it comes to hosts, Colm is in a league of his own. He went above and beyond with directions, thoughtful recommendations, and any request we made. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just feel cared for—we felt like family.

Wonderful house within its own estate with tranquil setting and full of period character. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoyed more of the property and grounds but would highly recommend somewhere to while away time!

Great accomodation for group of adults, very spacious. Bedrooms beautifully decorated, loved the white linen and curtains. Plenty of car parking.

House was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and was pristinely clean. Mark was really generous and accommodating of our requests, and checked in on us over the weekend. We were travelling for an event so didn't get to explore the area this time.

We had a lovely stay here for a reunion with six uni friends — such a special catch-up! The place was perfect for our group: spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The amenities were great — everything we needed was provided, and the whole home felt really well thought out. A beautiful spot to relax, laugh, and reconnect. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Myself and some family stayed here for 1 night at short notice as we had a family funeral to attend nearby. Sinéad was amazing. She took our booking, provided the best breakfast pack i have ever had at an air b and b. She was responsive, kind and accommodating, offering us an early checkin to help with our travels So glad to have been able to stay here with my family. Th house and location is amazing. We have all agreed that we would love to return at another time when we can stay for longer and really appreciate and enjoy the house and area more. Looking forward to coming back Thank you Sinead

Just back from our stay the apartment was spotless and had everything you could need and more. It was easy to find and clear instructions for access. Walking into the apartment it was so homely and warm and the view was amazing. The beds were lovely and comfortable. We had 2 dogs with us and the outside patio and grass area were so handy and closed in. The apartment is so handy for nearby amenities shop , coffee shops etc. We couldn't fault the apartment and John's gift of wheaten bread was appreciated. We would definitely return and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

Die Lage ist ruhig und ländlich. Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll, sehr gemütlich und es fehlt an nichts. Der Empfang war sympathisch und hilfsbereit. What delightful hosts are Irene and David! Their home is fascinating and full of their family history and charm. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed including a lovely view out of every window. Thanks for lovely unforgettable experience.

Wow, what a great place Selina and Paul have. The suite was awesome with a separate living space which was perfect for my husband, who always gets up at some point in the night. Selina had a whole bunch of little extras for us and greeted us to ensure that we settled in okay. The bed was very comfortable, extra long (which my husband liked) and the bedroom was very quiet. We wish we had been able to stay longer as it was the best place we had stayed during our 6 weeks in England, Scotland and Ireland. Thank you Selina for thinking of everything!

L'alloggio è meraviglioso e arredato con gusto e l'esperienza è andata oltre le nostre aspettative: abbiamo trovato tutto quello che ci serviva e anche di più! Apprezzatissimi gli scones, la marmellata e il burro che ci hanno lasciato in un grazioso cestino sul tavolo in cucina, così come il giradischi in soggiorno, i giochi nella camera per la bambina, le lenzuola profumate, i giochi da tavolo, i fiori....tutto curato nei minimi dettagli!! Adam ci ha dato tanti consigli sulle attività e sui locali e ci ha accolti con calore nonostante il nostro arrivo alle 21:30. È stato un vero dispiacere lasciare quel luogo! Killaloe dista circa 10 min. di macchina dall'alloggio: strada strettina ma percorribile. Direi un po' meno agevole quella in direzione Kilbane, ma suppongo si debba mettere in conto quando si decide di noleggiare un auto in Irlanda!

Thank you Robin for a wonderful stay. The hot tub was amazing, as was the surrounding views. The bed was extremely comfy and the cabin itself is very cosy!

This lovely cabin is perfect for a few nights away, a little out the way of most things but that's the beauty of Sam and David's place is we felt completely relaxed and treat to completely shut off! the hot tub was a amazing feature and waking up to see two little goats next door :) we found we had completely privacy even though we were just behind too. David was there to weclome us and show us around the cabin, and sam was very quick ro respond, 100% would recommend!!

Mum and I had a very lovely stay at Colette’s. The cottage was charming and well appointed. We were greeted by the loveliest dogs. Colette came with extra fire starting kit and even started a roaring fire for us along with Riley the dog who was just adorable. We had fresh eggs on arrival and cake on our last evening. The love hub is a beautiful 😍 quiet space. It’s has got querky bits around it. The log burning hot 🔥 tub is amazing and very relaxing. Outdoor screen to watch a movie or listen to music. 🎵 The outer room has a glass open roof to see the stars. 🌟 There is a fire 🔥 pit with lovely seating and two hammocks. Also 2 BBQ’s. Rocking bench in the front porch. Extra blankets if it gets a bit cold. 🥶 Plenty of beautiful lighting everywhere. Inside there is a kitchen area with kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, air fryer and George Foreman. (No freezer) There is breakfast provided. Cereal/toast. Tea and coffee too. Bed room has beautiful lights and is comfortable. Electric blanket if needed. Bathrobes and towels also. Living room area has a fire and tv. Plenty of logs to keep you cosy. Some board games there also. Two robins came to visit while we were there as they nest 🪺 close by. Lovely place to unwind.

we had a beautiful time my son and I. It made my Father's day very special. The house is spotless clean and full functioning electronics. Bedroom bathroom spotless. Beautiful sitting room with WiFi. There's a beautiful 5min walk to the lake great for fishing. access to local shops . brilliant location. can't wait to return. Thanks Joe and family.
