Cottage holiday rentals in Libourne

We LOVED our stay. The home is super stylish AND comfortable. Plus, it’s very private. We felt like we had our own home in the vineyards, away from *everything* (although you can still drive to Saint Emillion in 30 minutes or Bordeaux in around an hour). Karine also supplied everything you would need or want, including a speaker so you can hang out in the garden/hot tub and listen to music, which we did most of the time 😅 Overall I can’t recommend it enough. We actually hope to come back and stay because we enjoyed our week there so much!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Alexandra, qui a été très accueillante et disponible pour nous. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les petites attentions dans le logement (serviettes, cotons tiges, café, thé…) et avons pu profiter pleinement du lieu (mention spéciale au jacuzzi !) Je recommanderai sans aucun doute ce logement à l’avenir !

Truly exceptional. A beautiful house with every possible amenity provided - private pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Fantastically comfortable bed, and luxurious bathroom. All gadgets of the highest quality. Effective air con throughout. If you’re in the area and are after privacy and luxury - this is the place!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans la Bergerie, tout est conforme aux photos. La literie est top, le jaccuzzi aussi! La météo capricieuse ne nous a pas permis de profiter à fond des terrasses pourtant très agréables. Parfait pour être au calme, néanmoins nécessité de prendre la voiture pour profiter des sites environnants. Très belle rénovation!

We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

Nous avions choisi l’appartement de Aude pour sa proximité avec l’autoroute, sans toutefois aucun désagrément sonore, l’environnement est très calme. Nous sommes arrivés plus tard que prévu, aux alentours de 22h mais avons été très bien accueilli ! Le logement était conforme aux photos, facile à trouver et Aude à été très réactive. Le lit parapluie était déjà monté. Bref, une petite escale rapide et reposante sur la route des vacances ! Merci encore

We had a fantastic family vacation and enjoyed the absolutely beautiful home, views and great amenities. The children especially enjoyed the swimming pool while the adults enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful views. We had everything we needed and the house was spacious and perfectly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!!

The property is exceptional and beautifully presented. We had a wonderful time and really appreciated the quiet position, excellent facilities and luxurious finishes. We will be coming back as soon as we can!

The house was really beautiful and had a good size outdoor area which was great for sunbathing and relaxing. Katherine left us a welcome pack which included fresh croissants and bread, orange juice, milk, butter, jam and a very nice bottle of wine! Very much appreciated. Each room has a fan and the shutters keep the house nice and cool. The house is in a quiet location but perfect for exploring the Dordogne and Charente. A car is a must.

We stayed for 11 nights and it was pure bliss! Jonathan was extremely helpful with everything, very friendly and we had a wonderful time staying there , the wine was excellent too. My wife , our dog and myself will definitely be back !

Dit verblijf was ver boven onze verwachting. Na dat we foto's en reviews hadden bekeken waren we uiteraard al enthousiast, maar in het echt is het zo veel mooier! Het is gewoonweg fantastisch. De gite is prachtig ingericht en geeft je direct dat huiselijke gevoel. Je hebt ontzettend veel privacy, maar daarentegen genoeg ruimte om een heerlijke plekje te vinden in de fantastische tuin. Het zwembad was natuurlijk echt een hoogtepunt, heerlijk om na een dag sightseeing te kunnen loungen aan het zwembad en vergeet niet dat je daarbij nog eens je diner kunt bestellen, wat helemaal geweldig is! Alicia en Michael staan altijd voor je klaar, niets is te gek en ze komen graag een praatje met je maken of tips geven voor de omgeving, maar zijn zeker niet opdringerig en geven je echt de ruimte om te genieten. Wat een toffe plek hebben zij gecreëerd met z'n 2en. Echt een dikke 10 vanuit ons!

Fiona nous a chaleureusement accueilli. Elle a sué de montrer disponible et flexible sur l’entrée et le départ. Le cadre-jardin est sublime. Un endroit paisible pour se reposer. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir l’année prochaine.

Super logement avec une maison nickel et très bien équipée et un jardin superbement entretenu dont nous avons pu profiter pleinement . Emplacement paisible en campagne . Jean Luc et Josiane sont des hôtes adorables qui nous ont très bien accueilli. Merci à eux

The hosts were nice and friendly, they gave us recommendations where to go and what to do. The place is big quite and in front of beautiful nature. I would highly recommend it.

Suzon et Alain sont accueillants, aimables, serviables, disponibles, de bons conseils, bref c’est avec un réel plaisir que nous avons séjourné dans leur gîte 13 jours ! Un calme olympien, une piscine superbe , tout pour se déconnecter et se reposer de la meilleure façon !!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in der Cabane. Die Ruhe war bemerkenswert! Man hört nur die Vögel - speziell den Kuckuck. Wunderschön! Trotz der Abgeschiedenheit ist man in Chateaunähe, um die köstlichen Weine zu probieren oder man fährt an den Strand. Die Lage ist ideal! Einkaufen kann man in St. Laurent oder man fährt nach Castelnau-de-Medoc dort gibt es einen tollen Frischemarkt und Bäcker. Der Weg lohnt sich. Da wir in der Cabane alles hatten, was wir brauchten, kommen wir gern wieder (auch wenn die Matratze des großen Bettes sehr weich war)! Die Kommunikation mit Virginie war sehr einfach, schnell und freundlich.

Het huis van Janie en Hugh is een gezellige thuis. Alles wat je nodig hebt om je voor een tijdje onder te dompelen in een relax modus is aanwezig. Janie is een super lieve gastvrouw die precies wist welke tips we nodig hadden. Ondanks het wisselvallige weer hebben we erg genoten.

Nous étions réunis en famille pour un week-end de Pâques malheureusement très pluvieux. Mais le logement est spacieux, les pièces sont grandes et tout s'est bien passé. Très satisfaits du gîte que nous connaissions déjà , sous un beau soleil et nous avions pu profiter alors du beau jardin, bien équipé.

The gîte is set in the peaceful and unspoilt village of Chatenet. Linda and Claude couldn’t have been more kind or welcoming. We were travelling with our 4-month-old baby, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The gîte was cosy, well-equipped, and felt like a real home from home. A lovely touch was being offered fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden – such genuine generosity. We enjoyed peaceful morning walks through the surrounding countryside and wished we had more time to relax and enjoy the beautiful gîte and pool, which overlooks rolling hills. It was our first family trip, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We left already thinking about our next visit. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place more.

Xavier and Stephanie's house was an excellent house for a family holiday which we just had with our 8 and 9 year olds. It is located down a beautiful quiet road outside Libourne on the banks of the Dordogbe. We used car/bicycle to get very easy access to shops and restaurants. We could cycle to the boulangerie and market in Libourne in the mornings to get fresh food and it was also a very scenic cycle to Saint-Émilion which is just 25 to 30 mins on bike or 10mins by car. The house is really spacious with a big area for the kids to play outside or for anyone to relax or eat on the outdoor seats and furniture. It is really private and peaceful with the lots of birdsong and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Xavier and Stephanie thought of everything in the house. The sheets and towels and kitchen crockery and utensils were of excellent quality. This was one of the best holidays we ever had and we will definitely return in the future. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Caroline, elle a été attentive à notre bien être et notre confort durant toute la semaine. Nous avons trouvé en arrivant de quoi « manger et boire » ce qui nous a beaucoup facilité le démarrage de notre séjour. Le niveau d’équipement est supérieur à ce qui est annoncé : grandes serviettes de bain + serviettes de piscine moelleuses, dosettes de café, petit déjeuner complet, tisanes et thé, mobilier de jardin et de repos confortable, grand jardin privatif. Pour regarder les JO le grand écran était parfait ! L’espace piscine est particulièrement joli et bien réussi, l’aménagement est très relaxant. Les espaces pour les différents logements sont bien distincts et permettent l’intimité de chacun. Nous repartons avec de bons souvenirs de chaque endroit dont nous avons profité chez Caroline

We loved our stay here. Beautiful location in rolling countryside, comfortable accomodation with amenities just a short drive away. Our host, Fran was very friendly and responsive. The gite was just lovely. We had a great time and would go back.
