This two bed house in our charming country town has a south-west facing garden and is a 10 minute walk to the town centre, and a 15-20 min walk to Audley End. Children friendly house, great walks around and parks in the town. A short drive (30 min) or train (15 min) to Cambridge and close to London (nearest train station Audley End). Great for travelling business professionals, a weekend away, visiting family, and tourists!

The house is located in Saffron Walden, a beautiful medieval market town close to Cambridge and to Stansted Airport. There is also a direct train line to both London and Birmingham. It is a bright and spacious 5 bedroom home that has been recently renovated to include a modern open plan kitchen and underfloor heating throughout the downstairs. The property boasts a downstairs toilet as well as two bathrooms. There are five newly decorated bedrooms, sleeping a total of 9 guests.

River and village walks are highly recommended. We welcome dogs; we have two of our own. Close by is the medieval market town of Saffron Walden. As this was my first ever Airbnb, I didn't know what to expect. My experience of B and B places ( and owners) caused a preference to stay in hotels where an acceptable minimum standard could be taken for granted. However, my stay at The Little Thatch was a very pleasant experience, being on the edge of the village on a small quiet road, surrounded by open countryside. My stay was enhanced by the security and comfort provided by this small flat, particularly the very comfortable mattress provided in the upstairs bedroom which lulled me into a deep sleep. The attentive hosts, Beatrice Louisa and Rob were really helpful and certainly proactive in ensuring that I didn't experience any problems during my stay.

We had a brilliant weekend staying at Duxford Church. The hosts were fantastic - clear and thoughtful with all instructions sent well ahead of our stay, which made everything seamless from the start. They also left us a much needed welcome package, such a lovely touch ☺️. We didn’t need to contact them at all during our stay, as everything was perfectly prepared and in place. Duxford is a quaint little place that we really enjoyed exploring. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
