Monthly Rentals in Lochportain

The Studio is well-equipped, practical and very comfortable (although it’s worth mentioning that the ‘ladder-style’ staircase to the sleeping platform may be tricky to negotiate for older or less mobile people). We really enjoyed our stay there, and found that it was perfectly placed to explore the whole of North and South Uist. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, Maggie was friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and nicely organised. Highly recommended, and if we do come back to the islands we would definitely consider staying there again.

Beautiful Pod andlocation! Kelley was an excellent host, ensured the Pod was well-equipped and gave helpful advice on booking the Berneray Bistro for dinner (food was delicious!). The Pod itself has a stunning view across the sea south-eastwards towards Skye, and the rear looks towards the West Beach. Perfect location to go on the Berneray Circular Walk, which we were able to enjoy in warm sunshine. We also enjoyed a peaceful half-day just chilling, reading and listening to nothing but the local birdlife. Would love to come back again sometime!.

We’ve stayed in the pod for a night before catching the ferry and it was a beautiful place. Make sure to check out the beach at clachan sands.

Great to see a short eared owl flying in front of the pod and also the local breed ewes and lambs in the field next to us.
