Cosy Town house with garden in London, Hackney
A large flat in a lovely typical English terraced house in super Trendy Lower Clapton, Hackney, London. The local area is offering a great selection of what is London. It has outstanding choice of arts and culture attractions, shops, bars and restaurants. Being a highly creative borough, Hackney is the home to more artists and creatives than anywhere else in Europe. We are letting the whole flat meaning nobody else will be in the flat with you. Apart from our little cat. It has 4 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a shower and a bath , 1 separate toilet, an open plan beautiful kitchen/diner/livingroom fully equipped with the usual + on request we also have a vitamix, thermomix, dehydrator, juicer, mocca master, berkey water filter. Also have a smaller living area in basement with games and projector for cinema screen. This room also have a sofa bed. There is a big garden where you can enjoy bbq's and alfresco dining and also tabletennis. And ofcourse we got Wi-Fi and TV, washingmashine, iron etc. The kitchen is well equipped so there is no need to eat out, however there are plenty of great restaurants around. The flat would suit a family. The flat is very spacious and is on 2 levels and approx. 150 sqM. The garden is huge (for London), green and very cosy. The dining area is in the back of the garden and totally secluded because of lots of big and bushy trees. Weber bbq to use and a proper tabletennis table for loads of fun. Shops and amenities are 1 minute away on lower Clapton road which include several cafe's and pubs, a health-food shop, a brilliant convenient store called Palm2 and a Tesco metro, an Italian deli, a Polish deli, book shop, Pharmacy, several great pubs and restaurants, interrnet cafe, and much much more. 10 minutes walk away you have even more shops on either Chatsworth road, Mare Street, Stoke Newington Church Street, and Dalston. It is only a 5 minute drive or 2 stops on the train to the newest European (very luxurious and contemporary) shopping center Westfield-East with all high-street shops, restaurants, cinemas, a casino, bowling, olympic park withall the sports facilities available and more. This shopping centre is right where the olympic site is. You can easily walk there and its a nice walk by the canal filled with pretty narrow boats, newly opened cafes and restaurants and plenty of greenery. Hackney is the greenest borough of London. There are 3 different over rail train stations only 5-10 minutes walk away and from there it is 5 minutes to Stratford (Westfield East and the Olympic Site), 20 minutes into Oxford Circus (change only once) and the West End (this is Downtown), 15 minutes to Camden, 5 mins to Liverpool Street, 15 mins to Kings Cross and St Pancras. All the times are approx. There are several bus stops nearby with buses going to all over London including West End, Southbank, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, Stratford, Camden and more of North London etc etc. Our house is in zone 2 so can check the cost of traveling online at London Transport Best way to travel is with a touch credit card or with an oyster card that you can get at a tube or train station and some newsagents. See more info on their website. If you choose to stay in the area you will experience an amazing part of London. It is a very big creative art-scene in Hackney. Also a very conscious place to live where many people are into Health, and Green Living. There are many super healthy places to eat for vegans, raw foodies, vegetarians and meat eaters. Lots of healthy bars even serving mocktails and kombuchas. As well as your normal tipple of course. It is an amazingly diverse (you will not have seen anything like it), cool, buzzing and very interesting place to hang out. Best place ever to live and grow up in if you ask us. Full of clubs, bars, live music venues, art galleries, theatres, independent cinemas, outdoor and indoor pools, free tennis courts and much much more. There are also lots to do for children. The borough often do free events on weekends and school holidays. Access to Sport event run free throughout the kids holidays for example and these you can just turn up to on the day. Everything from art classes and creative workshops to sport and games. Check out hackney council website for this. There are several great Markets and Farmers Markets nearby worth visiting (Chatsworth road market, Stoke Newington Farmers Market, Broadway Market, Ridley Road Market, Columbia Road flower market, Bricklane market) Chatsworth road, stoke Newington and Broadway Market are especially near and they are great with loads of interesting stalls selling all sorts of things including bread and pastries, hot food, organic vegetables, meat and fish, olives and cakes as well as antiques, vintage clothes and crafts. There is often interesting live music and always a lively atmosphere. Stoke Newington is 15-20 minutes’ walk away with several restaurants, quirky independent shops, cafe's, bars, galleries etc. Uber trendy Dalston is 10 minutes’ walk away also with lots of shops and bars, clubs, music venues and cafe's. The famous Hackney Empire (our local theatre) is moments away and there are also 3 cinemas nearby. Hackney Picture House and the Independent Film house Rio in Dalston as well as a new one on Chatsworth road. And in Westifield East you have Vue Cinema complex. Arcola Theatre is on your doorstep and Museums nearby includes Sutton House, Hackney Museum, V&A Childhood Museum, Geoffrey Museum, London Canal Museum. There are many lovely outside areas to explore. It is very close to the beautiful River Lea (where we actually swim believe it or not) and the Canal for lovely walks to various parks, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries. You will also find an ice-rink, horse riding stables, pitch and put golf course. The flat is next to 2 parks with greens great for running or picnicking, there are newly refurbished tennis and basketball courts that you can use and great playgrounds for the little ones. Some of the tennis courts are for the public and are free to use at any time. Some you are able to book for around £5 an hour. For the football crazy our nearest teams are Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham Hot Spur. We are West Ham supporters in the house :) Well at least my son and husband and they often go to the London Stadium to watch them play. Tennis rackets and balls you can borrow if you fancy a bit of tennis in the nearby parks. One of the courts you don't have to book and is free but you might have to queue up for a little while. Also other games like badminton. Oh yes. Parking is not free outside. Its only residents permit parking. We can get only a few tickets for this. I think they are around £4 per day. Sunday is free parking. You are sooooooo very welcome to our lovely home. And you can Email us for even more information (if the above is not enough :). We have a few house rules that are very important to us. NO shoes inside. If you are someone that cannot imagine to take your shoes off inside then this house is absolutely NOT for you. Plus no smoking anywhere inside the house. Plus please treat our furniture with care. And most importantly you need to love cats and feed our little darling whilst you are there. If you are using the place as a base and will not be there at times (more than 1 day) then again this place is not for you. She often goes and eat at our neighbours as she is a very friendly cat but ultimately she likes hanging in our house and eat and drink from there.
