High on Bir, self-catering homestay with a 'whew'

AnkitRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Everything was fantastic! 5/5 for location: very close to all the cafes and Bir Landing Site, but also off the main road, so a quiet location! 5/5 decor/cleanliness: the pictures are spot on, the place looks exactly like them. Very tasteful & extremely clean. One could spend their life on the balcony happily! The bathroom was huge, bugless & well kept. Even the kitchen roll, toilet paper, body wash, cleaning spray, etc were high quality. 5/5 people: Samir was well connected to us via text, usually he's there in person but he was away & made sure there were no issues. Manoj, the caretaker & our friend during the stay, went above & beyond! He helped us find taxi bookings at cheaper than market rate, fix any issues that we had promptly, helped with luggage, would come visit/text daily to ask if we needed anything, offered to clean, turn the linens, etc! And the farmer owners are the sweetest! Filling water filter needed effort, but this is not a host issue, it's a city challenge!

Village house Andretta, Artist village,Palampur

ShrutiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I’m truly overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by my stay with the Patialas. As a writer in search of a peaceful retreat, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place. Nestled amidst the pristine beauty of Andretta, this haven offered me exactly what I needed: calm, comfort, and inspiration. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. The snow-capped Dhauladhar ranges are truly magical, offering a sense of liberation that’s hard to put into words. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the host family. Usha ji’s parents are the cutest—kind-hearted, and ever so helpful. Their presence made me feel at home . Aunty’s home-cooked meals, prepared fresh on pre-order, were a treat! This property is a true hidden gem. For anyone seeking tranquility, comfort, and a deep sense of belonging, this is the place to be. I leave with a full heart, immense gratitude, and memories. Thank you to the Patiala family for creating such a soulful space. ❤️

Two Independent Rooms in a Century-old Mud House

BrianaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable while also being charming and beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and the views of the hills and mountains from the farm are impressive. The food that we were served was truly top-notch. We could tell that the ingredients were very fresh and expertly prepared. They served us some classic Indian dishes and also some things that we had never tried before, and everything was delicious! Best of all, the people who run Serenity are really great. We felt like we were visiting the home of some old friends. They made us feel perfectly at home and happy. We will definitely be stopping by whenever we are in the area!

Musafir : Room in a Farmhouse

SahilRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Why do we travel ? Over the years the answer for this quintessential question has changed for me. It started with exploring new places, then it was about experiences and finally for finding oneself. But never had I thought that I’ll look back at a place and remember it for its people and hosts. Abhinav and his family welcome you to their home and you feel a part of their family from day one. Be it the mouth watering meals that Aunty serves to the farm tours and the music night at the end of the day it all feels like a warm blanket on a chilly winter night. One of the best experiences i have had in recent times. Big kudos to musafir and team. Will definitely revisit and recommend. Tip for travellers- Please don’t rely only on google maps for reaching the location once at palampur. We lost our way by doing the same and highly recommend reaching out to Abhinav for location help.

It was a good experience staying in a LOTR themed Hobbit house. The location is peaceful with a nice sunset view. Geeta helped us with early check-in. The breakfast was delicious. Overall, we had a good time.

A Perfect Home Away from Home. I had such a wonderful stay at this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The hosts were incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The location was peaceful, and I loved the little personal touches that made it feel like home. Very homely and comfortable stay. View of the valley and mountains is incredible. We also got valuable inputs from Mr Shad about places of interest and how to plan our travel to see many sites in shortest time
