Monthly Rentals in Lower Prospect

One of those rare times when a house described as "stunning" really lives up to it. John's house near Halifax is beautiful and serene, all windows and wood and incredible views out to the water in the cove and ocean beyond. Surrounded by trees and a garden path down to the dock, it feels private but not isolated. Great house on the inside also - spotlessly clean, streamlined so there's no clutter but everything you need, simple but quite beautiful also. Comfortable beds, great kitchen and bathrooms and just full of sunlight. Can't imagine a better spot to relax and recharge, and close to lots of good hiking. John is super friendly and responsive, a great host - look forward to coming back.

Very cozy cottage with great views. So nice to come back to after a day of exploring Nova Scotia. Centrally located - we made day trips to Halifax, Lunenberg, Fundy Bay, etc. Because of the weather we didn't get to enjoy the decks much, but we did see one gorgeous sunset, and even when the weather was nasty it was nice to sit inside and watch the waves and the fog from our cozy warm chairs by the fireplace. The cottage is right behind the main house and you share the back yard and sun deck, but that really wasn't an issue since the weather was cold and windy. We barely saw the guests in the main house.

Wonderful stay at a great location and friendly accommodating hosts.Location and property was like a piece of paradise to us.Enjoyed the ducks playing in the pond each day and the dear passing by our doorway each night to get there supper from Kim.Enjoyed each morning breakfast prepared by chef Craig ,wonderful variety,beautiful presentation and delivered personally by Craig to our doorstep each morning during our stay.Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a 5 Star vacation. This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)
