The space
Malpais is an exclusive coastal town in the Puntarenas Province of Costa Rica. Built in harmony with its natural surroundings, Ocio Villa is tropical elegance at its finest. Seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor spaces, and fully capitalizing on the amazing ocean view, this hillside property has all the comforts of home, and all the treasures of Costa Rica. Rustic wood furniture, exposed beams, and comfortable seating decorate the covered portion of the terrace. Numerous dining and social areas are found throughout the villa, providing ample space for entertaining. The formal dining room features a beautiful “c” shaped table with serving space in the middle and a spectacular ocean view.
Out on Ocio’s many terrace and balcony spaces you’ll find sun loungers, living and dining areas, and a beautifully designed swimming pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean. Inside, you’ll enjoy satellite television, Wi-Fi, a sound system, media room, and air conditioning. Also, should the mood hit, there are hammocks positioned throughout the interior and exterior of Ocio’s lush property.
With luxurious accommodations for twelve, Ocio’s six bedrooms are spread out over two different villas. The main villa has five bedrooms, three of which are considered masters and the sixth room has a villa all its own. And, every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.
Small traditional fishing towns, Carmen and Santa Teresa, have morphed over the years into picturesque tourist destinations. Both are well known for their pristine beachfronts, something they possess in abundance. They are just a short drive from the villa and definitely worth exploring.
