Holiday rentals with breakfast in Marco de Canaveses

Very pleasant stay and unbeatable service from Francisco. He provided us with a table and terrace seats to enjoy the patio, as there is no living room. Good location as a base for visiting the cities of northern Portugal. Large rooms and sufficient bathrooms. Breakfasts with local products.

Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. Manuel & Helena we're a pleasure to deal with. So friendly and patient when showing all the amenities. The house and property is just spectacular with beautiful views from the many lounging areas. lots of seating around the house and in the pool area. Pool had a great view also. House was great, clean and comfy. Make sure you have at least one meal in the wine cellar area, very cozy. The property is in the heart of the Douro Valley, close to lots to do, but you will want a car to get around. I would recommend this house for up to 3 couples or a family vacation. Except Douro has so much to offer I could have stayed for 2 weeks and never leave the property. Thanks again Helena & Manuel for all the tips for food and adventure. Our group was 15 people, all family. Our experience was much more than excellent. Ricardo's mansion, which is the best way to describe his accommodation, far exceeded our expectations: everything impeccable, spacious rooms, elegantly decorated. Dreamy gardens. The service provided by Ricardo and his team was beyond 5 stars. They kindly provided us with a delicious buffet breakfast throughout our stay, We were invited to an elegant and excellent dinner in the residence's huge and refined dining room, with different Portuguese dishes worthy of 3 Michelin stars, accompanied by exquisite wine, all served and attended to perfectly by Ricardo's team. And to end the fabulous dinner with a flourish, they gave us a private concert with local musicians and choir performing Portuguese folk music. It was a nice touch that we will never forget. The mansion is huge and exceptionally luxurious. Thank you Ricardo!

This place was a beautiful oasis along the Douro River. A little out of the way, but the amenities like daily breakfast, pool, and a little trail down to a viewpoint made it worth the trek. A baby cot and high chair were provided for use for our little one too. Would definitely recommend if staying in the Douro Valley.

I've had an excellent experience! The space was very welcoming and well cared for, and Mr. António was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I loved the presence of the animals, which were very cute and made the environment even more special. Without a doubt, this will always be my first option for a future stay in the region! We only have positive things to say. Lúcia and Sandra are fantastic, they are extremely friendly. Always attentive to our needs. The facilities are in good condition. The rooms are very clean and spacious. It is the perfect place for those who want a few days of peace and quiet.

very nice ambience, like in a small museum of how people used to live. Great old furniture and many works of art, pictures and other nice things. Breakfast was not appropriate to the ambience. Ham and Lidl sliced cheese, jam and butter, like in the hospital. Loveless and cheap. However, the path from the street to the house is a real challenge, both for people and for machines. On foot, however, you also have to be very fit and balanced. The location is really great for nature lovers, everything is very quiet and tranquil and a beautiful pool. You live there among a relatively poor population, farmers and shepherds, tanned by the sun and hard life, but all cheerful. You won't find amenities like a shop or restaurant, but if you're on vacation, do you really want that? All in all, great, only at breakfast, there is still a lot of room for improvement. You can ask for a few euros more, but you'll score with class.

Perfect place if you want to be in a different setting. However, be aware that the road is a little long and that the house is quite far from everything. Our favorite is the young lady who served us lunch. Excellent service!

A unique place in a beautiful location with breathtaking views. It’s a bit remote, but with Google Maps we had no trouble finding it. The road to the accommodation is quite narrow, but it wasn’t a problem with our car. Still, we were glad it was still daylight when we arrived. There’s a beautiful large swimming pool, perfect for a relaxing swim, and a great spot to watch the sunset. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with good coffee! The staff present during breakfast in the morning were very welcoming. If we’re ever in the area again, we would love to come back.

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

A great experience in Arouca! Cozy, modern, well-maintained space. Very comfortable studio and the kitchette is ideal for a quick meal, after Paiva Walkways. Service with attention to every detail. Upon arrival, we were surprised by the famous convent sweets of a local pastry shop, the .Come. 5 star stay! No doubt an experience to repeat. Nice work!

We were on our way from Porto and spent three wonderful days with Ines and her husband. It was fantastically beautifully located, the rooms and the ambiance as from old times and Ines and her family rounded everything off with their warmth. Thanks so much 😊

This Baroque-style mansion, which has a chapel dating back to 1618, is a real wonder. This is a family home, keeping its character and charm of yesteryear intact, where everyone can retreat peacefully under the trees or by the pool. Inês and her husband are always available and you will get good advice from them - you can discover in Marco de Canaveses an excellent little restaurant: the "Bodeguita do Bom Retiro" - but they will also let you live your life. Hosts will be able to shop, prepare meals in the kitchen, and feel at home with longtime friends. The house is surrounded by vines and hills. The breakfast with scrambled eggs and fruit is generous, the jams and lemonade are exquisite. From this large residence you can one day visit the Douro Valley and another the city of Guimarães, birthplace of Portugal, both classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site...

Very beautiful space and architecture well integrated into the landscape. Be careful with the details and a very comfortable bed. All safety and disinfection equipment prepared and easy to access. The employees, Bruna and Isabel, very friendly and available, always attentive. Communication with Vânia also went very well and I appreciate your attention. Highly recommend!

You'll love Quinta Trindade. The surroundings are peaceful with amazing views, and the house was remodeled with impecable taste and attention to detail. The cleaning standards are excellent, breakfast was delicious and Pierrick was really friendly, helpful and communicative: it felt like home from the very start. Wether you wish to go for a hike around the area or just relax and enjoy Quinta Trindade's amazing outdoor areas and common spaces, you're in for a treat. 100% recommended, will definitely be coming back!
