Holiday rentals with a kayak in Mariaville

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend here with our family (5 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). The house is very comfortable & beautifully updated/decorated. The setting is even better in person than we were expecting with an expansive lawn perfect for playing games. We had read other reviews about the neighbors having free roaming pet rabbits and saw them quite a bit. Fortunately our dog is a good listener and left them alone but could prove challenging for other dogs depending on their temperament. The lake was gorgeous and the location within one of the coves felt quiet and private while offering easy access to the rest of the lake via boat, kayak, etc. Enjoyed sitting on the dock & picnic table by the waters edge. Appreciated all the kayaks, games, toiletries & kitchen items provided as well as the large deck with grill & the firepit with chairs. Conveniently close to the boat launch, grocery store, restaurants, gas station, etc. if you need to run out for anything. Thanks for a great stay!

We had such a nice stay at Ross and Dana’s place! The home was spacious and private, and we loved waking up for a view of the lake with our morning coffee. Whether it was going for a paddle on the lake or taking a day trip into Acadia, their place was the perfect location for our stay!

An absolutely beautiful place, can’t recommend enough - we were so sad to leave. Brady was an awesome host, even going so far as making sure we had a pan to make a homemade birthday pie. There was tons to do— from hanging out on the dock, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking on the lake, stargazing, playing tennis, and doing puzzles and games in the cozy living room, we had a blast. Not to mention it was only an hour from Acadia for some great hiking. The personal touches in the cabin were also so sweet— it’s clear there’s lots of special family memories in this place. I hope we can come back someday!

We had an amazing time. TJ was very responsive and gave his secrets for fishing! He also accommodated a request that was an overlook on my part. I can’t say enough good things about the place itself or how nice TJ was. It was a phenomenal experience all around!

Everything was amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and all it had to offer. We spent a lot of time out visiting Acadia. However we enjoyed just the same amount of time enjoying the beautiful outdoor area. We can’t thank Kenny and his family enough for providing a beautiful space for our first ever family vacation. Highly recommend!!

This cabin is perfect for a peaceful Maine getaway. Tucked right on the water’s edge, the views are absolutely breathtaking. The cabin itself is cozy. We loved having morning coffee on the dock and taking out the row boat provided. My dog enjoyed being able to swim in the lake. Devon was incredibly welcoming and responsive. If you're looking for a quiet, rejuvenating escape with unbeatable lakefront access, this is it. We can’t wait to come back next season!

This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The lake is beautiful—we spent a lot of time kayaking and fishing and just enjoying the view. The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean and comfortable. Jodi and Marc were so welcoming and clearly care about making sure their guests have a great stay. We had an awesome time and would definitely come back!

What a great place for a peaceful, quiet vacation! As described and very cozy. When we arrived, there was a beautiful basket waiting for us with goodies from our host Emily. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful sunset. A surprise engagement of our daughter and her boyfriend made it extra special! Would recommend this place and definitely would stay again. The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

What a cool house! Very unassuming from the pictures. It's like a time capsule -- shag carpet, retro wallpaper, vintage fixtures and paneling. Although old, everything was clean upon arrival. I love old things so I enjoyed the aesthetic, although for someone with heavy allergies or sensitivities, the age and moisture may be something to consider. That being said, I have chronic allergies and sinusitis and I would 100% stay here again. The property itself is the focal point and the draw. It's set on a point of the cove where you can hear and see the seals in the distance, and you feel like you're on an island. While we were there, the sun came up at 4:30 every morning and we were out on the back deck at 4:45 with coffee in hand. So peaceful and serene! Use of their kayaks and life vests was an added bonus -- note to self, the islands in the distance are further than they look!! :) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and we enjoyed the use of the back grill. Lovely home!

Mischele really thinks of a traveler when she sets up her place! The extra touch of orange juice, creamer, coffee, freshly baked breakfast is great! Everything is there. Convenient to many great restaurants.

If I could only use one word to describe our stay in this wonderful cottage it would be: magnificent! We came from NYC and needed a tranquil place to decompress which this cozy cottage was perfect for - the scenery and view over the lake is simply stunning and the cottage has all amenities needed to either enjoy an amazing stay inside (when the weather is not too great and rainy) or simply envelop yourself in nature. K was also an amazing hostess and super responsive to all my questions and a wonderful person to be in touch with! All I can say is book this place, it is worth every penny, you will not be let down!! Hopefully we can one day come back again, and I’ll definitely recommend this place to my family and friends if they ever need a place in Sebec. Thanks so much again to both K and her husband

Perfect for our weekend getaway to relax and visit family! Terrill provides lots of local recommendations and describes her place in detail so you know what to expect. She wants you to be happy and not surprised. I had a wonderful nap in the hammock and the queen bed was very comfortable. My husband loved hearing the frogs at night. Their dog Pippa is a sweetheart. Appreciated access to the shower in the hosts lovely studio space. Terrill’s communication was great. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful lakeside cabin, within striking distance to Bar Harbor, Acadia and other surrounding day-trips. A tranquil and private space for a family or large party; has all of the amenities you'd want in a lakehouse: kayaks, paddleboards, hot tub, firepit (well stocked with wood), and modern amenities in the house (e.g., garbage disposal, hot showers, TVs). Don't look anywhere else!

It was such a great weekend spot. Quiet and peaceful but close to everything. The water was stunning.

We loved it here and definitely will be back! Gorgeous location and felt secluded even though there’s other homes on the fond. The sun room was perfect for a rainy game day! Very private location, but easy to find!

This place is amazing! Mandi and Michael were so welcoming and friendly! It felt like we were staying at a friend’s place. The cabin was IMMACULATE! Gorgeous and so comfy. The bed was amazing and the views were completely breathtaking. Exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. We have already recommended this place to our friends.

I had a peaceful and relaxing time at Peter and Toby’s retreat. I relaxed in the wood fired hot tub and used the sauna and soaked in the tub. Walked around the grounds and checked out some of the recommendations for food and shops. The place was cozy, bed was very comfortable and the set up was very well done with kitchen and the whole layout. I would look forward to coming here in the future. It was a wonderful birthday getaway.

This is such a special place! The cabin is beautifully designed and the views are wonderful! David left perfect instructions as to how to live “off grid” and is quick with responses if needed. So much to explore durning any season- from mountains to coast! Hope to return- maybe during blueberry season!!
