Wonderful place, people and the breakfeast is a great bonus. Overall a great value plus its very very safe.

Great accommodation and extremely attentive guests! I loved it!

This was our first trip to Brazil, and we spent four days at Charles' home in Rio. It was simply a wonderful time. The rooms (from which, there are three to choose), were clean, spacious and comfortable. They all are directly accessible from a lovely garden terrace overlooking the beautiful valley and mountains of Rio, straight up to the breathtaking statue of the Christ!!  Charles' creative use of space has provided every amenity you could possibly need to make his house your temporary home.  With a fully covered outdoor kitchen, two marble picnic tables and two BBQ grills (all of which, is for your personal use), you may find yourself struggling to choose between going out on the town for dinner, or running down to the local market to grab some fresh fish and vegetables and a nice bottle of Brazilian Moscato and enjoying a home cooked candle-lit dinner under the stars.  However, if you do decide to head into town for the night (or day), you are just minutes by foot from Botafogo Beach with views of the Yacht Club and Sugerloaf mountain, or by taxi to the sands of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and the endless shopping and fine dining establishments between them. In short, we can't imagine a better way to have visited Rio, Brazil, or for that matter, South America for the first time.  Charles was a wonderful host and went well above and beyond to see to our every need and comfort. We will definitely be telling our family and friends not to mention returning ourselves.  But more than that, we might just bring a few of them along with us next time... or maybe we should just keep Charles' little slice of heaven to ourselves!!!

We weren’t able to stay at Vera’s airbnb, but even so she has been incredibly sweet and helpful!! She makes you feel at home!

The stay was excellent! The ease of access plus the proximity to Lapa made it much easier to get to and from the various points of Rio. I was very well received by the team, who answered any questions I might have. As already mentioned directly with them, it will certainly be where I will stay when I return to Rio!

Local very well located, Alexandre is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home. When I return to Rio, I will stay there again. I highly recommend it!

As described in the listing , Knez Lourdes is an extremely helpful and welcoming host. Me and my family felt at home ,we were very well received , I have no words to describe such kindness and reception that we had. The place is very quiet even though it is within a community. Beautiful place with a lot of charm and dedication, surrounded by an environment that transports to the nature of Rio de Janeiro within the same city. The hosts were very hoapitalary and attentive, at all times concerned with even the smallest detail. The room was beautiful, very cozy and spotless. It also has stays where it can be shared, including a wonderful pool. Fully recommended 👌🏻

Quiet environment, with privacy and extremely cozy. Livia was super helpful and communication with her was very easy. Near the beach, restaurant and supermarket.

Cost x Perfect Benefit! I spent very pleasant days at Pousada Sol da Lagoa! Good room, space, large pool, the place is like all, very large. New air conditioning and shower, working perfectly. Only the television that had the bad signal, but on the 3rd day, I was able to change rooms. I would like to highlight the affection and receptivity of Dna Alda (Mother), the charisma and sympathy of Mr. Mário (Father), a person figure, who made us laugh, and the kindness of Mário Filho. It makes us feel in our own house, such a receptivity! Bob and Isa! Adorable and gentle dogs! There were kind guests, such as Sweet and Linda Girl Luiza and her Friendly Father Osmar, as well as the Friendship that came up with Cocoa and Angela! Now, Dear Friends! We have Silvia, super friendly and affectionate, with that delicious homemade warmth! Anyway, much success, prosperity, lots of health, peace and light in life you!! I already kept you in my heart!!! I am SO happy my bestie chose this Airbnb. He came last year and loved it so when I told him I wanted to join his annual trip to Rio, he insisted we stay here. Now I understand why. This is the most charming Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. This home is enchanted. I had the best and most restorative sleep here every night. The beds were cozy. The bathroom is stunning. The whole house is full of beautiful local art. There’s attention placed into every detail of the home and the experience itself. Opt for the breakfast. A great way to start the day. There’s a gym nearby where you can get a cheap weekly pass. 20 min Uber to the beach ($3 or $4 USD). Walking distance from the entrance to Christ the Redeemer if that’s your thing. Such an amazing host and beautiful spirit. I asked for thread to sew something and she did it for me. Genuinely, she’s SO kind! She also sent out our laundry as an add on. I hope to visit again someday soon. Magical place! Thank you thank you thank you!

I stayed at CasaJomo Art at the very end of my time in Rio, and I genuinely wish I had found it sooner! The neighborhood had a charming, small-community feel, free from the usual tourist crowds, which made it even more special. The property itself was perfect—beautifully maintained, with spacious and private rooms. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit and delicious offerings each morning. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible family who runs it. Their hospitality is unmatched; they welcomed me with open arms, making me feel safe, cared for, and completely at home. It was clear they simply wanted me to have the best experience possible, and they went above and beyond to make that happen. Would absolutely stay here again!

The climate is light and unpretentious, surrounded by green and made to welcome. Terra and Rosy, who help with the activities, add to the experience with sympathy and care. A special thank you to Rosy for the tasty food. Although access requires attention, I had no problems with transportation. I came alone and yet I felt very well received and at ease.
