Cottage holiday rentals in Marquette

My best friend and I stayed with our families for the Gwinn Gus Macker weekend and we loved it! The boys fished, rode their bikes and relaxed in the hot tub after a long chill day of playing ball! We were able to sit by the fire and relax with the sound of crickets in the background - we will definitely be back! Maybe with the entire team next time!

Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

In general, I really liked everything 🥹 The hot tub is just great 😍 Everything is clean and tidy, Jacqueline was very quick and clear in responding to messages. We had a problem with a tree falling on the road and no access to the house, but George fixed it literally 5 minutes after I messaged him. The only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the condition of the kitchen, in my opinion, it needs a little repair. But in general, this did not interfere with our vacation, so we were satisfied and I can confidently recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to be alone with nature. This place is really worth a visit!😊

Peaceful winter wonderland right on the lake. We brought our snowshoes and adventured to our hearts desire right from the cabin doorstep.

The cabin is set in the perfect spot, tucked in a private area with a stunning river view. Bringing our dogs with us was important in where we stayed and they equally enjoyed the views from the cabin, spectating the wildlife that was passing through. We had the opportunity to fish, play yard games, enjoy dinner over the fire, and wake up to coffee on the beautiful porch. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking to get away but still be close to town if needed.

I was looking for the place that would feel like home away from home where my entire family (fur babies included) and I could unwind, relax, and enjoy time together the weekend of my first marathon. This place was perfect. Kayaking was so much fun, the spacious kitchen made dinner times and breakfasts so special, and my doggo loooooved swimming, running around and going on walks. Even my cat felt right at home! It really felt like home. The amenities were also a great plus. It was my mom’s first time in an Airbnb, and she was so impressed with absolutely everything. Thank you Charlie and Shelly!! Everything was perfect. ☺️❤️

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful log-style cabin on the edge of Lake Superior. The craftsmanship of the cabin is impressive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Each morning, We woke up to breathtaking views of the shimmering water, which was a truly magical way to start the day. The peacefulness of the lake and the surrounding nature made it the perfect place to unwind. We spent countless hours simply relaxing in the back room, soaking in the serene landscape. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway surrounded by the beauty of Lake Superior. I can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic place! So comfortable and the layout of bedrooms in different parts of the cabin was perfect, as we shared the place with our two adult kids and spouses. Everything is as shown in the pictures, very clean, very well maintained and nicely stocked with everything you need. The Kayaks, Canoe and Paddle boat all were enjoyed as was a wonderful fire overlooking the beautiful lake. Angie was quick to respond with the few questions I had although everything is well listed with directions. We had a great time and will return in the future. Thank you Angie and Jeff for offering your beautiful cabin for families to enjoy. We had a great time at Bluegill cottage! We had 4 kids & 2 dogs with us but felt right at home which isn’t easy to do in an airbnb. The kitchen came fully stocked with everything we needed to make home cooked meals, the location was very private and beautiful. My kids loved that they had fishing poles & a boat to use! They caught pike, bass & bluegill. My husband and I loved the sauna after a long day chasing after the kids. We would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you Megan for a beautiful getaway.

We had a lovely stay! The place was easy to find in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood right on the river. very clean and well-appointed. would definitely come back if in the area again.

Amy and Eric’s cozy cottage was exactly what we needed! Amy was so kind to help us pick the right cottage and we have the perfect view of the beach! It is the most peaceful place and so tranquil. Eric was very friendly and awesome, we had a great chat! He even built us a fire on the beach so we can enjoy the stars and the lovely view. 100% recommend this cottage!

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in a beautiful, natural setting, the Eh Frame is the spot for you! My family had a wonderful vacation in Big Bay. We were outside for most of it, but when rain kept us in we could snuggle in the cottage with a book or enjoy a movie or, simply, the stunning view of Lake Independence. The cottage has most creature comforts but note there is no laundry, so you’ll have to visit the laundromat which is a quick drive down the road, adjacent to the general store. Fresh produce and fish, meat, etc. at this store is limited, so it’s best to do most of your grocery shopping on your way in to Big Bay, in Marquette or Houghton, for example. Ryan is a very responsive and accommodating host. We loved our stay so much we’re thinking of a repeat next summer!

Carrie was an excellent host. The cottage the clean, well stocked, and just as described. You can tell Carrie and her family put a lot of thought and care into their space. The open floor plan made it great for a larger group, yet still enough room for privacy in the basement. The lake was crystal clear, no seaweed to get caught up in when swimming. We took advantage of the canoes, and so glad we did, the views did not disappoint. Listening to birds in the morning and loons at night was a special treat. Would come back again!

Absolutely gorgeous setting right on the lake. The home was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we would need. We will certainly stay here again.

Heather was a great host, very responsive, gave great instructions and house was in new condition. it was so close to the ski hill, great location. Will definitely stay again.

this house is right on Lake Antoine, so great location. tight quarters more than offset by the location. having two bathrooms and the washer/dryer were great. kitchen is well stocked. plenty of space outside with a nice fire pit. we didn't use the bbq, but had a propane tank and was ready to go.

The cabin was PERFECT for 2 people. It was a very small drive to town and everything we needed was there. The sunroom was amazing to eat breakfast and dinner. Had a fire, used the grill and enjoyed the space. We never turned the TV on, so I am unsure on that. I can't wait to go back.

Our girls’ weekend spent here was amazing. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals, and the accommodations were great. Beds for everyone and the cute, cabin vibes made for a peaceful and enjoyable weekend!
