Absolutely spotless inside, everything you could possibly need - from bug repellent to doggie bags to crab traps and canoes. The pictures truly don't do the place justice. My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Jessica's place! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful and spacious the home and property were. Plenty of room for us all to celebrate my Mother’s 60th. We thoroughly enjoyed karaoke in the theater room, and soaking up some midday sun on the deck. There were so many fantastic amenities that we barely scratched the surface—definitely a reason to come back for a longer visit! Jessica was an amazing host, always quick to respond to our questions and incredibly helpful. If you're looking for a lovely and well-equipped place to stay, I highly recommend booking with Jessica. We had a wonderful Easter weekend at Tony’s home. This was our second time staying here, and we truly hope to come back again. It has become our special place of peace and energy. The view of the bay is breathtaking, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. If you bring binoculars, you’ll enjoy birdwatching—there’s a favorite spot for birds right near the house. Beautiful, spacious beaches are just 20 minutes away, and the island itself is peaceful and quiet, with a very relaxing neighborhood atmosphere. The house is located in one of the best places on the island. It is cozy, spacious, and spotless, with large windows offering views of the Chesapeake Bay from almost every room. The big deck became our favorite place to enjoy breakfast and morning coffee. The home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Tony and Paula are wonderful hosts who clearly pour their hearts into every detail of the house and genuinely care about their guests.

Host was super responsive with any questions we had during our stay! She was super flexible with our check-in and check-out times. The place was beautiful and my friends and I had such a wonderful time kayaking/paddle boarding on the water. Overall, our stay was amazing and we will definitely book again! Thanks for everything!

Crystal's condo was spotless and an easy place to stay. Crystal was very proactive and made us feel welcome. her dinner suggestions were superb too! perfect for a weekend getaway in a resort atmosphere. Thank you so much, we highly recommend!

The house was a good place to stay, better than being in a hotel and off the beaten path. The location was convenient for us to be with family and events, and to accommodate airport runs. We needed a house with 4 bedrooms and enough beds, which this provided. It was just a little higher priced I think compared to the quality, which included being just above sparsely furnished and decorated. The one other tradeoff was allowing pets without an additional fee, which we appreciate because we always make sure we take extra care when we bring ours. You can swim at the marina pool and I believe rent/use bicycles, but we did not take advantage of that. All in all, a generally comfortable place to stay.

We brought our dog along for a beach adventure at The Laughing King. We had an amazing time and MJ was a wonderful host. We stayed in the little hi eymoon cottage and it was quaint and well-appointed. The loft ladder was a bit tricky but once you got up there the bed was super comfortable! We enjoyed walking around and exploring Cape Charles (just a quick 15/20 minute car ride away with plenty of free street parking around town) but our favorite day was playing out on the private sand bar with our dog. We all had a blast on the sandbar and next time will pack a lunch and stay out longer! The property itself was secluded, quiet and private. Perfect for sitting on the porch with coffee watching the tide roll in. They had paddle boards and kayaks to use in the calm backwaters as well as a fire pit and a nice pool. The reviews about MJs wonderful breakfasts were spot on - his quiche was superb. Overall we had a wonderful time at The Laughing King and we would highly recommend it

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

We were in town for our son’s wedding and enjoyed our stay very much. Jason responded quickly to the few questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely cutest rv and unique setting ! We had a blast. We went to the Tiki bar, great dog park in Kilmarnock and many walks along the shore. We even saw a bald eagle fly over us while we were drinking our morning coffee! Everyone we met human and dog was super friendly! That made the trip extra special. Morgan is friendly and a great communicator. Her rv was spotless! Hope to get back to stay another time. Take care Morgan! You have a gem! 💎 ✨ Keep shining! ✨

Beautiful view and lovely house. Thoroughly enjoyed all the wildlife - lots of baby geese, ospreys in flight, woodchucks, bunnies and deer in abundance - loved it!!

Bee Haven is a perfect size for 2-4 people. It is nicely decorated and has everything you need to feel at home. It is located in a very peaceful, quiet area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. It is close to many activities to keep you busy. It is also close to a lot of restaurants. The front porch is a nice place to start your day with coffee and end your day with beverage of choice. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great host, clear communication. The stay was great for our children as it’s very walkable into town. The home was very clean and everything was easy to find. It was also a last minute booking at Chip made sure we were able to check in early when requested. 100% recommend!

This was was a great spot for us to relax on our way home from OBX. The house is big and comfortable and we felt right at home. We managed to get to the Bethel Beach Nature Preserve (nearby and on the bay), Haven Beach (recommended for swimming), and we went to the farmer's market. We met a number of locals who were all friendly. We wish we had more time to try out the kayaks.

Great getaway place, super peaceful, and quiet. Beautiful views. Just a few helpful tips for your visit …might want to bring tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. We didn’t care for the taste of the tapwater, may want to bring your own. Matches for the grill were found in the utility room. Shed had plenty of extra space to store our 2 bikes, could fit 3-4. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here again!!

As soon as we got to the house, it was a peaceful retreat. Although there are a few homes or farms close, there was little noise or distraction getting those of nature. The house and amenities were what you need for a few days stay and there was even an extra crate for the puppy if we’d forgotten ours. When we had a question the guest night, there was a response within fifteen minutes. And it was proactive as well as positive. The whole experience had been lovely.

We had so much at Anne and Neil’s place. It was more beautiful in person than in the photos. The furniture and antiques were so beautifully appointed. We had lots of fun as a family enjoying their pool, searching for shark teeth and shells on their beach, and getting on the water in their boats. Lots of fun. We all wish we could have stayed longer.
