Monthly Rentals in Matilija Creek

We rented both the main house and the Zen Studio for the family to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The setting is beautiful and made the weekend feel very special. We had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, and everything was clean and comfortable . Nice attention to detail such as cabinets with labels. Lots of places outside to rest, relax and enjoy the lovely views. Grocery store nearby.

Adam and Kerstin were extremely wonderful hosts. The space was beyond what they described in the best way. Many airbnbs lack the attention to detail but this one went above and beyond and was truly luxurious. It was perfectly placed to have peace and quiet but also close enough to town to grab dinner and coffee in the morning. Adam and Kerstin were extremely responsive and helpful but were respectful of our space. We can’t recommend the meal option enough. Nothing was as good as getting to the unit and having a fully prepared and delicious meal ready for us to enjoy as the sun was setting over the mountains. This weekend was so special to us in numerous ways and Adam and Kerstin’s hospitality was certainly one of them and something we’ll remember. This was such a lovely place to stay. Check-in was very easy and Katie & Cory were incredibly responsive. It felt like an oasis! So close to the city (we would bike in each day to get out to some trails) and a perfect get-away for the week. Loved it, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a private, clean, and peaceful place to relax and work.

Stay was lovely, although the unit was a little less secluded than I anticipated. It sits above a somewhat noisy road, but the view was amazing. The apartment is the bottom floor of the owners’ home with their (blinded) windows overlooking the patio. They were great - we never heard them and they gave us total privacy - but it’s not a separate building, which I didn’t quite surmise from the listing details. We did have a relaxing time and the location for exploring the area is perfect. Lots of care went into this property - small details like providing tea/coffee, comfy seating, and cozy lighting and decor. Hosts were great communicators. Happy we stayed here and would recommend!
