Large cabin with a lovely view, boat and sauna

We welcome outdoor enthusiasts to our beautiful cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down to the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14-foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna barrel right by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new as of July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top tours and smaller family trips for you.

You have a beautiful view down to the sea, with access to several beautiful hiking spots. Down by the lake it is excellent to fish from the rocks while you watch the sunset in the evenings. Bolga is a beautiful island on the Helgeland coast with approx 85 friendly inhabitants, a grocery store and a tavern. Exciting conditions for hiking, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, diving, seakiting, fishing and foraging. The cottage is situated in the south-west corner, 2 km easy walking from the harbour. Daily connection with the mainland by ferry or local boat to/from Ørnes and express boat to/from Bodø/Sandnessjøen. You may observe the amazing Northern Light from September.

Svartisen Northern light

Welcome to Svartisen Northern light. The cabin is located by the seaside and has a private dock. You can also find a telescope inside the cabin, and during the winter this is the place to observe the Northern lights when the sky is clear. The boat to Svartisen are approximately 400 m away from the cabin, so this is a perfect place to start glacier hiking. If you like fishing there is fishing gear available.

Enkelt og fredelig overnattingssted med sentral beliggenhet. Her kan du nyte en sen kveld med solnedgang og havutsikt. 3 soveplasser fordelt på 2 soverom inne på hytta og 2 soveplasser i anneks ute på terrasse. Her er mulighet for bålkos, grilling og avslapping med blant annet brettspill, god mat eller bare nyte stillheten.
