The Dairy @ Street Farm Barns

The Dairy is completely self-contained and located in the pretty, peaceful village of Hardwick, just 12 miles south of historic Norwich. Its conversion from a farm building (a dairy!) was completed in 2018. It is perfect for couples but, because of its space and the full-double sofa-bed in the living room, it can comfortably sleep 4. It is a a great base for walks in the surrounding countryside, visiting Norwich, the Waveney Valley, the Norfolk Broads, or the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk coasts.

Our small 18th century barn is the converted village forge and is perfect for any time of year - a cosy winter break by the wood burner or summer outdoors in the private cottage garden. We're in a central village location, in a forgotten quiet part of Suffolk known as The Saints. Surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling countryside, yet only 15 miles from Suffolk's best beaches and Southwold. The barn shows it's heritage with beams and vaulted ceilings, yet has a modern open plan layout.

Our annex is complete with spacious double bedroom, shower room, lounge & kitchenette. The Annex is located next to the Norfolk & Suffolk Avaition Museum and The Flixton Buck Inn for great food & locally made drinks. Flixton is a small rural village, 5 minutes to the historic town of Bungay, 20 minutes to the Norfolk Broads, 30 minutes to Southwold. 20 minutes to Norwich, 40 minutes to Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich. Our central location is perfect for holidaying in Norfolk or Suffolk.

Our Premium shepherd’s hut Blackthorn Retreat sits alone in its own dog friendly 1/3 acre fenced meadow, with wonderful private far-reaching views, and amazing sunrises, sunsets and clear big skies. Perfect for reactive dogs. Up to two large or three medium dogs welcome (even on the bed - we provide throws). A perfect getaway under the stars. Wonderful wood-fired hot tub available (for a fee). We're back after a 12-month break to host a perfect dog friendly, secluded, rural hideaway with private parking and separate entrance, positioned next to the historic WW2 Metfield Airfields, in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The accommodation has a double bed, wood burner, seating area, dining table and 2 chairs, kitchen and bathroom. The 4 acre grounds are secure so dogs can roam free. Please note the property is a separate building, adjacent to the main house.
