Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

The apartment is tip-top clean, the amenities so that we could cook and feel really comfortable. The beds are really comfortable and all nicely modern and appropriately furnished. Valeria and her husband are very lovely and accommodating hosts who even got some things for us at our request so that we had breakfast on Easter Monday. The contact was friendly, quick and easy. We love the view of the sea and the sound of the sea. Very relaxing in the preseason and the village rather inanimate. Great beach. That the terrace is in front of the house is not visible in the pictures. From there, many destinations are easily accessible for sightseeing and hiking. Small tip for navigation there: if you enter "Menfi, Via Cristoforo Colombo", you don't drive past it.

Great place in a great location. It is a rustic apartment in the countryside. Not luxurious, but rustic-authentic. It has everything you need as a family and self-catering. The beach below the house is fantastically beautiful and within a few minutes walking distance. The hosts were very nice, had helpful tips for us and were currently available. Love to come back! My wife and I had a great time at Ignazio's house. A very quiet place with a great location to reach the various beaches a few kilometers away. The house is cozy and equipped with everything you need to spend a relaxing vacation immersed in the countryside of Memphis among vineyards and olive groves. Thank you for everything.

Villa del Capitano Luxury contemporary Villa

Had a great stay at this villa with a friend. It’s exactly as described/what you can see in the pictures. It’s a big, open plan, modern space with a beautiful pool/garden surrounded by vineyards - very peaceful. The nearby towns were pretty deserted - very few restaurants, no bustling high street/town squares etc. So if you’re looking to have regular meals/drinks out, this place might be a little too isolated for you. However, if you’re looking to just chill, cook meals in, hang out by the pool during the day, some peace and quiet, then this place is perfect. You definitely need a car whilst staying; getting from Palermo Airport took 75min (easy drive), the closest large supermarket is about an 8min drive away (in Menfi) and we even took a trip to Taormina (3.5 hour drive) for a night during our stay. Peppe (the owner) was lovely, gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the villa and was on hand for any questions we had. I’d visit again, for sure.

Everything was just as described. The apartment was large and spacious and on the upper floor of the Villa. Luciana's parents lived on the lower floor, but you barely saw them. Luciana was very accommodating, you kept the pool longer open just for us and she responded quickly to messages. Luciana's parents were very helpful and immediately helped we had any questions. About 1 km walking distance to an absolutely lovely beach, la Solette, but a steep uphill back. Have nothing but good to say about this listing!
