Beachfront holiday rentals in Middletown

The cottage is located on the same property as three other rentals, a large house and two smaller once. Depending on how many of them are occupied, privacy can vary. During our stay the two smaller homes were rented as well. Unfortunately the backyard is not completely fenced, but there was on piece of fence that allowed us to block the one open spot, so our dogs didn’t run away. The cottage is big enough for two adults. The bathroom is fairly small, but is enough for a short stay. The living room and the kitchen are adjacent and are nice for cooking or spending time when you are not discovering Newport and the surrounding area. The location is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet spot after a long day of discovering Rhode Island, Martha Vineyard, Block Island and many other beautiful places.

Exceeded expectations can’t wait to return! Great spending time with grandkids and sharing all the local spots- Jim’s and skips dock and snug harbor diner- they are all still open from my childhood time- 70’s….

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. Our hosts were very nice and Jenifer was extremely accommodating. The space was very comfortable , clean, and the kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. The area is very walkable with many great restaurants, bars, and an awesome coffee shop very close by. Parking was perfect and a huge plus was the ability to take our boat also!!

This place was perfect for what I needed. It was cozy, comfortable, clean, simply and beautifully decorated, and well equipped. It was also a wonderful setting with great views in all directions. While the houses are quite close together, it is a quiet neighborhood and it helped that it wasn't high season. Lots to explore nearby and just as tempting to sit on the deck or lie in the hammock watching the world go by. This was more than I had initially planned to spend, and I'm so glad I went ahead with it anyway - very grateful for this spot!

We only had one night at the cottage but it was the perfect spot between NYC and Portland, Maine for a stop after enjoying Newport ! The beach was quiet and private. Very relaxing cottage ! Definitely recommend.

Joe was extremely helpful and accommodating. He was flexible enough to offer an early check in time that aligned with when our family would be arriving to town. Both the house and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. We went down the road to Evelyn’s Drive In for seafood and ocean views and would highly recommend.

The Sea Glass Cottage was clean, had amazing views, organized, had everything we needed, and was located on what appeared to be the best part of the island. It was one of the few places where the home patio facing the water without a street obstruction. The decoration and amenities were in perfect condition, and decor was so cute and cozy. It was clearly thought through by a home decor professional. Great place for a couples getaway...coffee on the patio at sunrise, walks around historic farms and nature reserves, crabbing at the dedicated beach to the home and sunset walks on the sandy beach just a short drive away. Emily was so responsive to our questions especially since this was our first time to Air B&B...may have been too numerous. She was a delightful host.

We would love to return. We had a wedding a the Newport Beach house so it was super easy to walk across the street and walk back after the event.

I was so happy to have a room with a view of the ocean (though it included a view of some telephone lines and street lights, just fyi) and to be literally across the street from the beach. The room was spacious and calm, with lots of natural light, the bed was huge and comfy and clean, the parking was easy, and I really thought this was a great base for my Newport trip. Note; I stayed int he original building.

We had an amazing stay at Newport Beach Hotel & Suites’s! Our first night there was a wedding party who stayed up quite late but the hotel was very accommodating when it came to moving our room due to some late night noise. Kris at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Extremely friendly, going above and beyond answering questions and making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location was right near the Newport downtown but far enough away that it wasn't too crowded when walking for coffee or grabbing lunch. Lastly, the rooms/bathrooms were renovated recently and were very nicely done!

I love this location. Huge rooms. Comfortable king size bed . Quiet. Great views. You can walk to this little beach around the corner. The kitchen has everything you need. Pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker. I bring my own food and cook. The tv has cable but I didn't see how to get Netflix. Also there are two big bathrooms. They have a pool but I haven't used it since I go in April. Newport is a quick drive over the bridge (there is a $4 toll fee- if you have EZpass no big deal). Plenty fo shops and restaurants in Newport and of course the huge mansions from the 1890's. It's about $50 to go into two of them. Or the Breakers, the most famous one is $35pp. Check out Bellevue Ave, its fabulous. I also like to eat at the Red Parrot. There are plenty of local shops to browse, and the Wharf where you can walk along the water. Parking is free in the winter/early spring. Check the signs cause they do have metered parking. I can usually find something, and there are lots you can pay per hour.

Clean, easy, 1 mile to downtown Newport, walk across to the beach, great parking. Good value, last min end of Summer booking.

We stayed for only 1 night. The description and reviews are accurate. The house was exactly what we needed. The location is great with an easy walk into town. Our son caught 3 fish off the dock. We loved our quick stay and would absolutely stay again.

Exactly what we were hoping for! Location and view were outstanding. The working dock was so fun to watch!! Everything was fantastic!!!

We came for our son's graduation in Providence, and Thomas’s place was perfect for our stay. Traveling with three generations, it was nice to have a spacious, comfortable home base where we could all unwind after long, exciting days. The house was spotless, exactly as pictured. The views were beautiful, the neighborhood was quiet and charming, and everything about the home made us feel relaxed and welcome. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area, and we hope to return for another visit soon!

Everything was exactly like the description. Very clean and great home. Communications with Lavonne was fantastic. The location was perfect.

We came in for a graduation so we needed something simple that we could enjoy for downtime but knew we were not going to spend a lot of time there. This met our needs. Our host was kind enough to help with a few simple requests that made our stay easier.

Perfect location to attend our daughter’s St Andrew’s graduation. Wish we had found this earlier for parents weekends and attending games! Nice to have an option right in Barrington!

Christopher’s place was a great location to see and explore Newport/Middletown. We were a 6-10 min drive from downtown Newport and in a quiet neighborhood. The downstairs unit was not rented out when we were there so we didn’t hear any neighbors. We didn’t walk from the house to the beach with a 2yr old but it was an easy drive to everything. The beds were comfortable and I would definitely consider this place again if we come back to visit. Not a complaint, but the master bathroom is on the smaller side so if you are tall you may have to turn your body a bit to sit on the toilet and not hit knees on the wall. It’s functional and a good use of space though to have a second bathroom. Loved having one bath with a tub for kids. There is a private porch for the unit that is connected to the room with the twin bed which was nice. We had plenty of room and space. The third couch was nice for additional sitting space too.

We were extremely pleased with Sophia's place. Is was exactly as described. It was the perfect hangout for my wife and our two dogs. A couple of steps off the deck and we are on the beach. The views from the living room were outstanding. Given it's location, close to East Matunuck beach you practically have a private beach for the small condo complex we were in. It is very conveniently located, close to Matunuck Oyster House and close to Wakefield and Naragansett for shoping and additional restaurants. The cottage was well equiped and met all out needs, given we ate most meals in. We would definetly stay here again.

My parents and I had a great stay here! It was cute and cozy. The short walk to the beach was great and waking up to the ocean view was amazing. I would definitely stay here again!
