Beach house holiday rentals in Mindelo

A very well-equipped house in a lovely seaside village, larger than the photos make it seem. Antonio greeted us like we were old friends and was really helpful with a couple of logistical issues caused by our late arrival. Miramar is a smashing little spot with a couple of nice eateries. 20 minutes on the train from central Porto and half an hour walk down the beach to the more bustling village of Aguda.

Liliana was absolutely lovely. You can clearly see that she loves being a host. We arrived after midnight but she welcomed us personally. She also prepared a great light dinner - highly recommend it, everything was delicious. The place was great for our group of 6, we had everything we needed to feel like at home. The surroundings are beautiful, the house is located near the beach, you can actually hear the ocean if you open the windows. A holiday that we will definitely remember & we really have to thank Liliana for it. She made sure we have everything we need, was always super responsive and even took the time to come say goodbye when we left. We highly recommend this accommodation and Liliana as a host, you will feel like you just arrived at a friend's place. Thank you for eberything, Liliana, we will definitely be back!

A wonderful place to relax and unwind! The place has everything you need, very well equipped kitchen. The home's biggest plus is the proximity to the ocean, you can watch the sunset from the terrace. Mum really enjoyed it, would definitely go to this house again! A bit of joy was spoiled by the cleaning staff, the woman was unkind, it gave us a dscomfort before leaving on her own. We had an unloaded trashcan left on which we were pointed out and told to take it off, adding, you may not already be taken away, but then let's raise the cleaning fee. But the house itself, location and hostess - everything was wonderful!

Our stay went perfectly. The house is conveniently located close to the beach. Very pleasant stay and Ruca takes care of it. I would recommend it in a second.

Everything was great, we were met by a very friendly and nice woman who showed and explained everything. The accommodation is excellent, everything is as in the photos. Very comfortable, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nearby, the ocean is making a very nice noise. The view is beautiful too. Recommend.

The apartment was cosy, clean and close to bars, restaurants and buses. Ubers came to apartment. Very reasonable. Beautiful views when you walk down to Main Street from the apartment. Would recommend xxx

We recently enjoyed a delightful week-long stay with our family at this enchanting house in the heart of Vila da Conde. The property's romantic outdoor architecture immediately sets it apart from the surrounding homes, creating a truly charming atmosphere. As a group of adults with children, we found the house to be perfectly suited to our needs. Located next to a small city park with a playground and cafés, the house offers easy access to local amenities. Historical sites and museums are within a short walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. The spacious interior, including three bathrooms, was a major plus, and the outdoor pool, seating area, and grill provided ample opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We spent a lovely week at Elisa and Andrés beachfront Airbnb. Communication was flawless and we were even welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Portugese wine which was a nice touch. Once checked in, we had a slight issue with the loud noise coming from the pool pump and Elisa responded within minutes, sending her Father around to check it for us. Location-wise, we chose this because it is right on the beach and it really is. You can hear the ocean from inside and see it from the windows. On a clear night the Sunset is sensational. Elisa was super flexible with our check-in and check-out times, offering both an early check-in and later check-out to accommodate our travel plans which we were super thankful for. All in all, a great trip, can highly recommend!

Beautiful property with even more beautiful grounds! Eusebio's place is very peaceful, with a big pool, flat yard, and beautiful plants everywhere! The home was perfect for our family of 3. We loved exploring this remote area, as well as driving to Viana do Castelo to shop and eat.

Great base to visit Porto from. Secure private car parking place within the house compound. Local park is great to walk around Best restaurants require transport to reach (Porto City Center) Massive shopping center nearby with over 200 shops Francisco and Joana are lovely and care about your experience whist staying at their property. This is a family home not just a Airbnb let.

Thank you for the stay ! it was really nice to have a house for 6 people 1h10 away from Porto by public transport (and only 15/20 minutes from the airport by Uber/Taxi). The primary attraction was the private pool, very nice and clean (a bit salty though) and the beach very close to the location. Thank you Andre for the stay, I recommend this location !

this was a wonderful stay for a family easy access to the facility and to the rooms did have two steps in door but it was not difficult despite my mom's disability. kitchen was outfitted with what was needed for traditional Portuguese dishes.

Small house in a very good location on a quiet street, one-way with little traffic apart from pedestrians. Very quiet, very functional apartment, done with great taste! At the foot of the sea, I highly recommend it!

Our four night stay at Casa do Trigo was excellent. We felt right at home. The location is ideal; close to restaurants and shopping, in old town, great walking area, safe, and quiet. The home smelled fresh upon entry, and was very clean. The beds are comfortable and the linens are luxurious. The room darkening shades work great. The furniture is comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are clean and the rain shower heads are a nice feature. The towels are thick and soft. The kitchen is nice and functional. The heating and air conditioning are easy to use and kept home comfortable. The open-air garage/carport is convenient and secure. Our compact car just fit at an angle. The measurements listed in the description are accurate. It is also tricky to get in and out of. The street is a narrow one-lane, dead end street. Gereviana was helpful, professional, and responded quickly to our messages. They met us at checkin, and provided checkin treats. We would stay here again!

House very well located, close to the sea, the metro, fish restaurants, bakery and 2 supermarkets. The house is very well equipped with all the first necessities, good bedding, large courtyard sheltered from view to eat outside. We thank Amelia for her kindness, availability and welcome gift. We are all delighted with our stay at the Terrace. You can go there without a second thought.

Since the day we booked, our family has been super excited to visit this place. And as we arrived to the location and Villa it didn’t disappoint, in fact brilliant host, Sina, who had contacted us to ensure our safe journey, showed us around such luxury at every turn. Just wow! The Villa had everything a family (4 adults and 2 energetic boys) needed… There was nothing we felt we needed and Sina kindly shared suggestions of places to eat in the local area as well as in Porto which we intended to visit. Normally the pool wouldn’t be open this time of year but we had been so blessed with great weather before we arrived and during, Sina had opened it for us. Much to the delight of our boys. The walks to the beach front was under 10 minutes and the only difficult decision was to choose right or left to walk further along amazing coastline - along the Pilgrims Way. Thank you to Paula and to Sina for ensuring we had a comfortable stay. We recommend such luxury to friends and family!
