Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Minho

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

Marta's place had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable the room was excellent. She provided great hospitality and services. having the eggs, bread, cereal, juice, milk, cheese, butter and jam were an incredible change from the normal Airbnb fare. Having a washer, dryer and drying racks came in very handy as well. we would definitely stay at Marta's again!!

Estancia maravillosa, la casa es preciosa, cómoda y con detalles cuidados, el jardín espectacular y la zona merece la pena como base para hacer excursiones y conocer la rivera sacra. Repetiremos

Mis padres y yo hemos disfrutado de una estancia excelente. El apartamento estaba impecable y recientemente renovado. Lo mejor, sin duda, ha sido el personal: todos súper atentos y amables. Adoramos a estadia na casa da Vitória e do Antônio. Recomendo muitíssimo, foram muito amáveis e nos receberam muito bem.

Very nice owners who make you feel welcome. We enjoyed the swinningpool and garden. Breakfast was well taken care off. It's in a quiet envirement, but with the car you can go to Ponte de Lima, Braga or Porto. We enjoyed our time here!

Tranquilo, acogedor y decorado con mimo y mucho encanto. Muy cuidado, tal como aparece en las fotos. Es un sitio ideal para desconectar y relajarse. La atención excelente!

Amazing 400 year old home, has always been in the family. The outside garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful. Small town near by with good quaint restaurants . About one hour from Douro Valley by a beautiful drive through back country roads. Highly recommend it

Camila y Valentín fueron encantadores con nosotros y nos trataron como para hacernos sentir en casa. Somos peregrinos y nos recogieron en la etapa que nos correspondía. Muy amables y acogedores, además de una casa preciosa, muy recomendable.

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

Espaço muito bonito e de arquitectura bem integrada na paisagem. Cuidado nos pormenores e cama muito confortável. Todos os equipamentos de segurança e desinfeção preparados e de fácil acesso. As funcionárias, Bruna e Isabel, muito simpáticas e disponíveis, sempre atentas. A comunicação com a Vânia também correu muito bem e agradeço a atenção que teve. Recomendo vivamente!

My stay with Paula was exceptional. I was given a choice of rooms and chose a beautiful room with a view of a river and an old bridge which is now just for pedestrians. The whole building was beautiful, with lots of nice artwork and interesting things about the place. The shower had plenty of hot water and the Wi-Fi work great. There is a nice neighborhood bar and restaurant just a few feet away. Somehow I didn't do too well with the directions. The place is right in the town of Gres and that is not where my GPS took me. but it was well worth the slight hassle to stay in such a nice place.

A Casas da Li é um espaço muito acolhedor, numa aldeia de montanha, a 500 m de altitude e por isso, com vistas fabulosas. Naturalmente que a estrada é difícil pelas curvas, mas com bom pavimento. Vale a pela pelo contacto com a natureza e pelas vistas únicas. As instalações são muito boas, assim como o pequeno almoço. Foi uma muito boa experiência.

Un sitio recomendable al 100%. Hemos hecho una escapada rápida de una noche y Miguel muy atento desde que llegamos. Pendiente de lo que queríamos, disfrutar y que no pasáramos frío. La casa estaba limpia y ordenada, todo lo que se puede siendo un entorno rural y con con leña para todos los lados. Se podía utilizar cualquier parte de la casa. De diez. Muchas gracias.

10/10 tal cual como la descripción, un sitio tranquilo, habitación privada y muy cómoda, la cocina bien equipada y grande aunque no tuve necesidad de cocinar ya que Yunia muy amablemente ha preparado un rico desayuno para empezar el día con todo 💪. Gracias por todo!

Wir wurden herzlich von Paula und Xurxo begrüßt und haben die Zeit im Airbnb sehr genossen. Das Frühstück von Paula war liebevoll und sehr lecker, mit frischem Orangensaft und tollem Aufstrich. Der Garten und das Haus sind wirklich wunderschön, wir konnten uns toll entspannen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke für die tolle Zeit und die schöne Begegnung :)

ha estado genial! la casa es preciosa con zonas comunes muy bien planteadas y espaciosas, cocina, comedor, jardín... y nuestra habitación 1, una tremenda suit, con bañera grande para 2, con todos oos equipamientos y una ducha también muy amplia. 15 minutos a ourense, y 30 min pixigueiro, la atención y la respuesta de borja a sido excelente, sin duda repetiriamos!

Casa espectacular. Amplia y espaciosa. Perfecta para un grupo de personas. Hay intimidad debido a la individualidad de sus habitaciones con baño. La casa super bien decorada y limpia.. Totalmente equipada. Tiago es un gran anfitrión y merece la pena conocerlo. Nos ha tratado excelentemente . Muy amable. Seguro que repetiremos si tenemos la ocasión.

Nous avons passé un super moment chez Ann et son mari. Ce sont des hôtes adorables, qui nous ont mis très à l’aise. La piscine est un gros plus. On se sent comme à la maison. Surtout ne changez rien et continuez de rendre heureux les voyageurs qui sont de passage dans votre magnifique maison. nous aurions aimé poursuivre le séjour. Tout était parfait.

להגיע לביתה של פאטי זה כמו להגיע לגן עדן. בית כפרי מקסים, נעים וחמים. גינה גדולה ויפה שטופחה ע״י פאטי ובעלה. כשהגענו קיבלנו סיור בגינה שמלאה בעצי פרי, ירק ופרחים וזכינו לטעום מהתוצרת הטעימה להפליא. בגינה הגדולה יש פינות נסתרות ליד היער שם תלויים ערסלים ונדנדות בהם אפשר להתנתק ולנוח באין מפריע ולהקשיב לקול ציוץ הציפורים ולמים המפכים בנחל. הבית היה כל כך חמים ונעים. חדר השינה מואר עם שני חלונות גדולים הצופים אל הנופים הירוקים ואל הגן היפה והמיטה הייתה כל כך נוחה! במקלחת, סבונים טבעיים מעשה ידיה של פאטי עם ריח משכר. בקומה העליונה יש גם סלון שמעוצב בכל כך הרבה חן. ארוחת הבוקר מוגשת על מרפסת הצופה אל הנוף והכל מוגש בצורה כל כך אסתטית ומעוררת השתאות וכמובן טעים כל כך. פאטי אף פינקה אותנו בפסטו מיוחד מעלי תאנה שקטפה בגינה, מעשה ידיה. פאטי המליצה לנו על ערים יפות וחופים מדהימים במרחק נסיעה קצרה. ולבסוף, פאטי ובעלה הם אנשים נפלאים, חמים ונחמדים כל כך! מכניסי אורחים. הם אנשים מרתקים וגרמו לנו להרגיש בבית. אין ספק שנשמח לחזור ולהתארח ב״קאסה נאטורה״, מקום מיוחד במינו שישאר לעד בלבנו

A really lovely room just like the photos. The family were all very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and looked after our bags on our last day .We had a fantastic meal one evening in their restaurant, not to be missed . The only down side was it’s a reasonable walk to the old town of Porto but if you don’t mind that it’s a lovely place to stay

Nous avons passé une nuit très calme dans ce gîte. La chambre était très bien équipée, confortable et le quartier est particulièrement calme. L'arrivée était facile, Leticia était là pour nous accueillir et tout nous expliquer. La seule remarque que nous avons à faire : l'annonce indiquait un petit déjeuner ce qui n'était pas le cas pour notre séjour. (Leticia n'était pas là le matin, nous n'avons pas pu lui poser la question). Mais dans l'ensemble la nuit était parfaite!
