Beachfront holiday rentals in Minnesota

Was a great weekend getaway. This place is located on a stunning lake. It was perfect to relax sitting next to a fire and enjoy summer. I would highly recommend this property. Also The hosts were fenomenal.

We had a great stay at the Island Lake Getaway. Fishing was great right off the dock. We were able to use kayaks and pedal boats, and they also had lots of sand toys and games for the kids to play outside. There isn’t anything that could have made this a better stay than it was! We were so impressed with the property, and all the family who came to visit was also blown away by how beautiful it was. We usually book a hotel when we stay in Duluth, but this was so much better for our family of 4.

This is our second time staying at these beautiful cabins and it did not disappoint. The local breweries and restaurants were delicious, having access to the canoes and kayaks were super fun and convenient to get out on the water, and the wood sauna and fireplace at night were a perfect way to relax at the end of a fun filled day.

This is a wonderful off grid get away. We did a winter trip and pulled sleds with skis. Brought in water, coffee, and food. Made fires in the stoves for heat, and had a couple great saunas with cold plunges in the lake. Everything required work which is what my group was looking for. Wood to split, fires to feed, and lanterns to see at night. Close enough to ski back to the car and head to Ely anytime we wanted. Would recommend for unplugging from the busy world. Still had cell service if needed, but we stayed on airplane mode for the most part.

The Honey House and Debbie were just lovely. Perfect for my father and for fishing, peaceful coffee on the deck and mini getaway close to restaurants and such ( though you wouldn’t know it). The lake is beautiful as is the guest house. Well equipped and as advertised yet know there is no stove or kitchen sink. However, there is a toaster oven /microwave and other kitchen ware. You can’t beat the quaint beauty of this gem.

The view the view the view!! We enjoyed the amazing sunsets, large grass area to play outdoors, skipping rocks down on the rock beach, and especially having a private fire pit on the patio was fantastic!!! The furniture was very comfortable to watch movies on the large tv. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to make meals and gather around the large table sharing stories and playing several of the board games. Ellie was very quick to response to any question we had. The pool was closed during our stay, but we definitely would have used it. We rented a pontoon and had a blast with that too! We'd rent here again :)

Our stay was absolutely the best. Diane was great to work with, before and during our stay. Half of our wedding party was able to comfortably stay during the weekend, and there was plenty of space, activities, and privacy for a small cozy groom’s dinner on site. Thank you Diane, and other hosts, for a beautiful site and a wonderful weekend! Highly recommended and we would definitely be interested in a return visit. 💞

Love the house! Clean, cozy, perfect! Looking to book again next year. Beds, pillows and that couch….amazing! It was a quiet weekend there but enjoyed our time still at the restaurant/bar. Golf cart was a great add on. We kayaked and played pickle ball. We also went to Bayview a couple times. They really have everything you need. Thank you <3

This place was absolutely gorgeous! We were so happy with our stay & would love to stay again. The view alone was worth the price. We would happily just sit on the patio & listen to the Lake Superior waves. Everything was clean & organized. We had plenty of room for everyone.

This was a great place for our family, right on the lake. We were close to lots of parks and hiking trails. Quick drive to restaurants and shops. There was plenty of space and the indoor pool was a great spot for our kids.

This is the most beautiful place my family has ever stayed at. Not only that, but the amenities were incredible. The kiddos (and adults) loved swimming in the pool, sitting in the hot tub and sauna and fishing off the dock and in our boat we brought. The house was so clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and baking dishes which made cooking family meals a breeze. I love how kid (and dog) friendly this house is. There is a room full of kids toys, a bin full of pool toys, and a nursery room. The dog washing station came in handy to wash the sandy dogs off from the beach. Not only was the house great, but so was the host. So responsive and friendly. He truly wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. We did mosey into Vergas one day and got some coffee and ice cream and checked out the zoo. We would love to come back and stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Jill’s place. It was very nice and as described. Cozy and comfy, with a great view.

The place was comfortable and extremely clean. Probably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in. The view was lovely and it was very quiet. We had bad weather so we didn’t get to enjoy the outside amenities. The beach, fire pit and kayaks looked very inviting.

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful! There was a nice open, well supplied kitchen and large eating area. There is a main bedroom with a king bed on the main level. Up the winding stairs is another bedroom with a little sleeping nook adjoining it. The bunk house has two rooms with an open doorway. The front patio was great for grilling and visiting. The weather was beautiful so we were able to swim, canoe and play outside games. The rock stairs are steep, but only my 92 year old mother had difficulty and we gave her assistance. Very quiet, beautiful neighborhood and about 3 miles to the grocery store in Big Lake. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Beautiful place inside and out. Amenities were great. WiFi was having difficulties but just needed to be reset, and the host was aware and messaged us regarding the issue before we were even fully aware of it! Definitely would come back for future getaways!

This was our second time at Deidra’s Tofte home, and if possible - it was even more magical than our first time. Not only is she an amazing host - we basically planned our itinerary around all her wonderful recommendations - but this house is just a gem on the north shore. Well stocked, better than photos, and pristine views of the lake each day. We’ll be back again and again 😊

My family really enjoyed our stay at Moose Point. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We stayed for four nights in the middle of our Minnesota adventure, and it was such a treat to use the kayaks and paddle boards—so much fun! My kids especially loved fishing off the dock. One of the main reasons we chose this rental was the high-speed internet, and it did not disappoint. My husband had to work throughout our stay and experienced no issues with video calls or transferring large files. He even got to enjoy stunning views while working! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, including basic spices, which was a nice bonus. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Our family loved our stay at this beautiful lake home. Some of our favorites included: All the attention to detail- from skewers & firewood for roasting marshmallows to the delicious smelling bath products to everything you’d need for a great cup of coffee Truly designed for larger families- plenty of beds + seats for everyone The beautiful lake view- we spent most of our time in the backyard The garage with pool and foosball- our adult kids especially enjoyed this feature The decor- we felt right at home in this well designed space The lower level screened in porch- when not outside we were enjoying the view from there- it’s a great spot for morning coffee The accessibility of the lake- it’s quite shallow for a bit (up to knees) which made it easy for dunking. We also enjoyed the kayaks. We had groceries delivered from Walmart (better than the Cub in the area)- would recommend- easy and great to have a stocked fridge b/c you won’t want to leave

Perfect location for our family to spend time. I brought my elderly father to spend time with my disabled sister and my niece who has a toddler. I also brought my teenage daughter. My father and sister spent time indoors or on the deck while my daughter fished and my great nephew played in the water next to the dock. My daughter and I kayaked each night at sunset. We did make a trip to the park with the toddler and played on the beach. Recommend bringing a small rake to clear the beach from the water plants that came up on the beach. Once cleared, it was perfect. Like others said, you definitely need 4-wheel drive. I was able to go up and down with no issues with my Honda Pilot in 4-wheel drive.

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.
