From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and at home — their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the entire stay. A special shoutout to Yohan, whose help and attentiveness were simply amazing and made everything even more seamless. The cottage itself is beautifully constructed, giving off a fantastic homely vibe with stunning views of the lake. The team even torched the gardens for us in the evening, creating a magical, serene atmosphere. The pool was always clean, inviting, and accessible — a perfect spot to unwind whenever we wanted. All our basic needs were thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of, making the entire experience completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality, this place is an absolute gem. Can’t recommend it enough!

We had the best time at the villa. The minute we entered we were in awe of the place. It actually looked better than the pictures. We were a bunch of girls and skeptical about the safety as it was a new country but Binara made us feel right at home. There was periodical cleaning at the villa with a caretaker always at the property. The pool was always maintained clean and the team maintained privacy as well. Binara was always helpful and responsive. The location is bang on as well. Walkable to beach and 5 mins to all the famous cafes like Kai, cactus etc. couldn’t have asked for a better place to live in SriLanka. Highly recommend this place- be it with you family or friends.

Saman was a great host he helped alot and gave recommendations for good food spots. He was very friendly and the room was clean and up to the mark. bathroom was the best that we had in entire Sri lanka trip. its really eco lodge as we saw fireflies and peacock. Mirrisa beach, turtle beach , coconut tree hill and food joints all are under 750 mtrs All in all a great place to stay.

We had a lovely stay at Kocoon Villa, it was really great value and in a great location about 10 minute walk from the beach. Madiha is a hidden gem with lots of local cafes and a peaceful vibe. Leo and his girlfriend were wonderful and super kind, especially with recommendations for nearby Mirissa. We don’t surf but I’m sure they’d help you out if you do! It’s not described but they do live upstairs and the apartment is on the ground floor. Only downside was not having hot water - I think the new pump is already on order though and the weather is amazing so there are worse places to have a refreshing shower!

Anjalee's villa was spectacular, well thought out and immaculate. The landscaping was surreal! The villa came with very kind and attentive staff members and the adorable Mari the dog. Highly recommended and one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in, without a doubt!

We (family of 5 with 3 young kids) loved our stay at Helios. Ashley has designed the place beautifully and the interior design is very cool. The garden and pool area was heavenly with so much wildlife (monkeys, lizards, birds and we even saw a mongoose in the garden!). It was easy to get lost in time watching the monkeys swinging around in the trees and jumping on the roof. We loved the outdoor bathrooms. The team were very helpful and responsive and Lalani made a great breakfast. The location is great, near to a superb coffee shop and cafe (The Kip) and back from the main road in Ahangama (which is extremely hectic especially with young children), so it was a bonus to be set back from there. We loved our stay and made lots of great family memories. Thanks Ashley and team, we’d definitely recommend!

Just... wow! We felt truely blessed with the opportunity to stay here. The pictures really don't do the view and villa justice, it's a really remarkable find and absolutely stay here if you get the chance. Sonali and her family are wonderful people, who really made the stay. Sonali's cooking was wonderful, lots of dishes each evening that were so tasty and taking the time to go through the menu with us is really thoughtful and made sure we enjoyed everything. Lesley and Ken have truely thought of everything, there's not a single thing missing and nothing to be improved on. We went out easily on tuk tuks to visit surrounding areas, only to return to absolute bliss with a dip in the warm infinity pool. We even took a little boat ride around the lake from the dock at the end of the garden that Sonali organised for us. This place is a true gem, and we felt so lucky to be able to stay here - just try and stop us visting again!

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Cecile has a dream place for any family to stay. From the location to the great staff, everything felt like home away from home. The great view, large pool, and staff who cooked tasty food contributed to this. If you love local Sri Lankan food, Manjula provides the best. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any family who wants a peaceful view of Sri Lanka with the best amenities and a great staff to take care of them.

Fantastic stay at Talaramba Reef! We had a large family gathering for 3 nights (9 adults and 5 children) and booked both villas. The villas were beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, very comfortable, with lovely and immaculately kept grounds. The place was very spacious and it felt very relaxing, and the pools were very pleasant. Ranjith and his team were incredible. They were kind, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay, including helping to organize a party and putting up a lovely banner. The food was also exceptional and great value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough!

Stunning property, great staff and fabulous food.. couldn’t ask for more.. located a 10 minute walk from ahangama secret beach, Tim’s place is a paradise.. lush green surroundings, peaceful, a massive pool and cheerful, friendly staff… we hope to visit Bayagima again in the near future.. thanks again for hosting us the last night Tim!!!

Stop scrolling through the reviews and just book this stay already! Everything about the Temple House was fantastic - from the decor to the amenities to the constantly cleaned pool to the villa manager and staff availability and helpfulness. Communication with Jo was a breeze. Jo was proactive and provided all the information we needed. The chef that we shared with another villa made amazing vegetarian food for our party of 4 adults. Nish the villa manager went out of his way to make us comfortable. Shashi was super duper helpful, making breakfast for all of us and staying with my grandma and infant to ensure their comfort when the rest of us were out exploring. The place was spic and span thanks to Ashanti cleaning the indoor area and the uncle outside cleaning the yard and pool. There was a short period of power outage that was handled well by Jo and the team. They had USB/ battery powered lights and fans that allowed us - especially my infant - to feel comfortable. Loved it!!!

We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

We spent four days at Villa Sõmar and are completely satisfied. The villa is spacious, very clean and exactly as in the description. In the morning there is a delicious breakfast served by two very dear employees. The Sri Lankan banana pancakes are highly recommended. Furthermore, before arrival, you will receive a very detailed message in which, among other things, there are many restaurant recommendations, beaches nearby and even numbers of two tuk tuk drivers. The location is fine and you can reach anything by tuk tuk or scooter. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would come back anytime.

FireMoonGarden is not just a villa, but a whole experience. And I'm sure you won't find anything better around Mirissa. Staying here ended up being one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Absolutely flawless. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for something a little more special.

Soul House was a great find, being close enough to the beach and town in Ahangama but also sufficiently removed in a very green and peaceful neighbourhood that also included other walkable dining options. The team on site led by Himasha were very helpful with all our requests. As a relatively large group of nine the villa was still big enough with the master bedroom large enough to sleep upto four, despite being a four-bedroom villa.

Stayed for 2 nights as a group of 5 friends and overall had an fantastic experience. The home was spotlessly clean, spacious, and really comfortable for our group. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach and close to great brunch spots. The outdoor pool was a real highlight for us. It was clean, well-maintained, and was perfect to enjoy in the evening. The host was also great, very friendly and responsive and stayed in touch throughout our stay. They also provided a helpful recommendation leaflet with local tips which really appreciated. Overall, a fantastic spot for a fun and relaxing getaway with friends. Many thanks!

This is a fantastic house located inside the walls of the fort with a beatiful view of the waves and sunsets. The house is completely renovated to a very high standard and is kept spotlessly clean by Nissanka and Dammika. They were always at hand when we needed anything and also cooked up excellent western style or sri lankan style breakfast. There is even a pool in the livingroom. A serene place, and yet lots of restaurants and attractions just metres from the gated door. Very impressive place and also very easy to communicate with Colleen, the owner of the property.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Clemence was very responsive, and the two helpers were always available and cooked excellent meals for us. The house was a dream - beautifully designed with great attention to detail which sets it apart from other properties in the area. It’s spacious, well-equipped and everything was in great condition. The location is also great, a short walk from the sea. A very comfortable and well-run place - we’re already looking forward to returning to this or another property owned by Clemens
