The Fisherman's Cottage

This house is on the ground floor in the historic center of Mola di Bari. It was renovated in 2015 by recovering two rooms used in the past as a storage for the fishing nets of one of the most famous fishermen in the area: my father. It has two entrances: a main one on Via Duomo 19 and a secondary one. It is close to restaurants, the sea, pharmacies, bars and nightlife. Grotta Confort in the Sassi

Inside a popular hotel in the Sassi di Matera, this cave room is accessed from the common terrace through a large French door. It's an alcove entirely dug into the tuff. Extremely welcoming even just for the conformation, hollow and rounded it looks almost like a mother's womb. The bathroom, although small, has a bidet and a shower. It is equipped with air conditioning, TV, mini-bar and free WiFi. A rich and special breakfast buffet is included in the cost of the cave.

My house is a typical house in Stones of Matera, partly carved into the rock and partly built in tuff. The spaces have been furnished with a hint of reference to the history of the peoples who have lived for centuries in these caves, without removing anything from the comfort that modernity has given us. Our house was build more than one hundred years ago, with thinck limestone walls and high ceiling, at a few meters away from Polignano downtown and from Arco Marchesale, where you can find many restaurants, coffees and shops. Into the house you will find a desk and a library dedicated to book crossing. The books are availale for the guests: you should take away what you like and leave what you have readed, also with a message for the next reader.
