Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

The old wagon barn on the river Lek.

This beautiful holiday home used to be a 100-year-old wagon shed, of which old beams have remained as much as possible in sight. The cottage is located on the yard of our 400-year-old monumental stool farm, where we live with our sheep, chickens, dogs and cat. The cottage has its own outdoor seating area. Opposite the farm are the floodplains of the river Lek with the many nice little beaches. And a stone's throw away is the cozy silver town of Schoonhoven.
