Force of nature

The house dates back to the early 1900s, in a quiet location, on the edge of the village, it has a space in front of the entrance that can be used for outdoor dining. It is furnished in an essential but comfortable way. It has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, a kitchen and a living room with a pallet sofa and 2 single beds, for a total of 6 beds. The kitchen has an old fireplace that can be lit in winter. The small bathroom has a shower. It is not suitable for those who have difficulty walking.

The "Ginestra" house is located inside an ancient farmhouse, recently renovated, called "Casone di Colleciglio", near the town of Barrea (AQ), one of the most characteristic villages of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, included in the official list of Authentic Villages of Italy. It is located within walking distance of the shores of Lake Barrea, surrounded by the Marsica Mountains and close to equally characteristic villages such as Civitella Alfedena and Villetta Barrea.

My home is a quiet retreat with large, well-kept spaces, perfect for relaxing. The private garden is always available to guests and, in summer, a parking space is also available. We are in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, a stone's throw from the wolf wildlife area. From the house, you can walk directly to beautiful mountain hikes, without the need for a car. Close to the ski slopes 14 km from the Pescasseroli facilities 41 km from the Roccaraso ski lifts

In 40 minutes you can be at the beach or skiing in the mountains. The beautiful village of Pennadomo is surrounded by nature, with wonderful walks to explore and enjoy. All visitors love the house commenting on how energising it is and what a calm and relaxing atmosphere it shares.
