Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Montagu

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

This place is made to calm down and relax. It‘s far out the city and around 1km from the host‘s farm. There is no electricity in the house but candles and lamps… and a very nice hot tube. Heleen, our super friendly host, prepared hot water when we arrived, gave us a lot of useful recommendations around this place and was helpful for everything we needed. There‘s almost no light pollution allowing a nice and clear sky full of stars! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come again! Thanks a lot!

What a beautiful spot! The view is exquisite, it is very quiet and private. So peaceful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Unit is comfortable and we utilised the much needed indoor fireplace. The kitchen has pretty much all you need to make meals. The one bathroom only has a bath, so bear that in mind if you are sharing with others. A magic spot in an awesome location! Susanna was very responsive to requests. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Susanna!!

We enjoyed the perfect weekend getaway. Ines and Mark have a beautiful home in a tranquil setting. Greyton is the perfect little town with great restaurants and very walkable. Highlights include relaxing on the outdoor sofa, late night braais and visiting the Saturday morning market. The house is beautifully decorated with all amenities. Do not hesitate booking. A must-visit!

We had such a fantastic stay! Elda was the sweetest host, super welcoming, communicative, and thoughtful from start to finish. She gave us a great little tour of the house when we arrived, along with a detailed list of things to do in the Robertson and Breede Valley area (and somehow remembered all six of our names!). The house was spotless and exactly like the pictures. We were welcomed with a lovely bottle of Malbec, and the kitchen was well-stocked with water, milk, tea, and coffee, such a nice touch. The beds were comfy, and the whole place had everything we needed. Since it was winter, the fireplace was an absolute dream, it made the space so cosy. The area felt really safe, with security around and plenty of walking routes nearby. Honestly, the perfect winter escape. Highly recommend!

I only stayed the one night and was more than happy with my visit.Ideal if like me if you are visiting Robertson Airfield you could walk from Anna's accommodation.

Magriet was there to greet us although self check-in is also available. We enjoyed complimentary coffee, milk and rusks and we were welcomed with chocolates on the bed. The heaters were turned on and the bedroom was nice and cosy when we got there. Magriet recommended coffee shops restaurant and there are also brochures for Ceres attractions in the room. Shower had hot water and towels available for use plus extra bedding in case it got cold, wifi was available , parking secure behind an automated gate and separately from the main house. The accommodation was great , good value for money and Magriet is a super host, I will definitely recommend stay over there if in Ceres. We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! We visited with friends, and the setup was perfect—two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, made everything so easy and comfortable. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches: a little olive branch with chocolate on the bedside table and fresh, beautiful flowers in the bathroom—those small details made us feel really special. The combustion stove was a highlight too, keeping us cozy on the chilly evenings, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We truly appreciated the care and attention put into making the place feel welcoming and memorable. Highly recommend!

Really awesome overnight accommodation! We loved the spacious layout of the room, the comfortable bed and all the thoughtful attention to details which enhanced our stay. Relaxing in the cut out bath chairs around the fire pit area that evening gazing at the stars and enjoying the view over the orchards with the mountains all around and then watching the glorious sunrise in the morning, makes this short stay memorable! We had the most magical stay! What a beautiful cabin right in the mountains of Suurbraak with a lovely hike to a waterfall directly from the property. The cabin is stunning, we loved how much thought went into everything, we felt comfortable and relaxed! Highlight: spending every evening on the bean bags by the warm indoor fireplace! Beautiful kitchen inside the cabin, indoor & outdoor shower, the communal area is also great with the pool, large seated firepit and lots of relaxing spots in the garden to sit. So special! Cant wait to come back. Kane is super helpful, can buy more wood on the property and we felt very taken care of!

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

This was a comfortable stay in a lovely space. Best bed ever! The host was very friendly and responsive.

We enjoyed a lovely two days at Lika's spot. She was very welcoming and helpful, and was very kind to let us check in earlier than normal because the house was ready for us. Thank you for the lovely, peaceful stay.

Loved staying here with two friends. We had the fire going the whole weekend and went for walks in the nature reserve. Such beautiful surroundings!

Such a beautiful place, Dorita is a legend. Loved the hikes and the beautiful sunset views. MAKE SURE YOU LOCK THE HOUSE AND CLOSE THE WINDOWS… or you will be baboon raided, we learned the hard way.
