I had the most wonderful stay at Bliss Cabin, to say the least. From the initial photos of the writing desk and yoga deck, to the curious graveled path winding around the property lined with life and decorative details, I was totally immersed in the love and care that was so palpably present! Kathryn & Luke were absolutely lovely, so helpful, and incredibly accommodating! My recommendations while on the property: build and tend to a fire. Journal at the writing desk while playing Miles Davis. Take an early cold plunge in the river, do a round of Wim Hof breathing, then run up to take a hot shower at their beautiful abode. Chat with Luke, have tea with Kathryn. Do yoga on the deck. Say hello to the frogs. Express your inner musician with their drums and sound bowls. Let your soul free here!

We had such a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the Rock Ridge Ranch. The host was amazingly accomadating and the cabin was a slice of Heaven. The space was cozy and close to restaurants and grocery stores. Look forward to returning in the future.

May be one of my favorite mountain stays I’ve had! Definitely will be back!

This Airbnb is in an absolutely stunning location. We stayed here for my daughter‘s graduation from Virginia Tech and it’s a 30 minute drive from campus. It is down some windy mountain roads, but the views are spectacular. The apartment is exactly as described; everything was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment.The host was super responsive and if we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was nice and clean, close the river. We didn’t know there wasn’t a TV. We should have noticed it I guess. It wasn’t a problem for us. It was a new ce place to stay, and dog friendly.

We not only enjoyed the lake, boating, kayaking, hot tubbing and all we needed to have s'mores in your fire pit by the river, but really enjoyed meeting and getting to know you as well. Anahata was the perfect place for our family reunion! I hope to find another reason to have a gathering here. There are spectacular places to walk and explore out side. Inside and around the house on decks and porches are great gathering spots for small and large groups. Our family of 12 could all sleep comfortably with beautiful private accommodation. Our day visitors of 10 or so people enjoyed the beautiful house and grounds. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve experienced and I’ve been to a lot. The owners were great communicators and took care of everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain house. The views are amazing, and Berit did a great job giving very clear instructions on how to navigate the mountain on the way up. She made sure ahead of time that we had vehicles suitable for the drive which was very appreciated. She checked in with us throughout the weekend just to make sure there was nothing we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels/blankets available, and overall was just a wonderful stay. There is a winery, Chateau Morrisette, which was only about 15 minutes away that was really fun to visit, and Floyd is a very cute, friendly town. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely stay. Clean as a whistle. Very well appointed. There's a babbling brook next to it that you can enjoy from the back deck. Three forms of coffee available - most impressive. Everything was well labeled with instructions. It's a pet-friendly place, a nice surprise. It's just off a road, so be aware if you're sound sensitive. Communication was excellent from well before all the way through the visit. Beds were super comfy, with lots of lounging areas for friends or family. Clearly hosts that take their visitors comfort very seriously. A lot of thought and consideration put in to this truly lovely place.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, it was nice to have a peaceful place to relax and I loved sitting on the screen porch and just watching the trees sway. We did have a critter in the old chimney but it was immediately taken care of after I let Barbara know. It is definitely in the woods so bugs and animals will be seen more often, as long as you are fine with that then this is a super fun place. Absolutely amazing host that took care of anything we needed as well. Do yourself a favor and walk to the waterfall a few streets over. It was gorgeous and so fun to splash through the water even if it is ice cold!

Clean and spacious, very close to downtown floyd

Stephen's apartment/loft was a nice, central spot in downtown Roanoke-perfect location for our long-weekend visit. Took grandson to Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia Transportation Museum, and down to the Historic Market (disappointed in the Market as it is now compared to what it was years back tho). Lots of downtown restaurant options and Blue Ridge Parkway access is not far (via Mill Mountain). Campbell Avenue location was central to where I traveled to visit ancestral homes - easy navigation to/from as it's close to 581. While various business venues observed the nightly noise curfew, most vehicular traffic did not (during the weekend) so future guests might want to be prepared for extra external night noise. The loft/apartment was comfortable and clean, and Stephen's house rules/directions, etc. were clear and easy to follow - he was very responsive to any/all questions/inquiries and we would definitely consider enjoying this location on a future trip to Roanoke.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time away out at the cabin. The tubing was AMAZING! and the nature is just gorgeous. What a lovely opportunity to slow down. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Loved the bath tub and the rocking chairs. We made a fire outside each night and took lots of walks. Very tranquil

This is a hidden gem. I am so glad I found this, really because it’s close to a friend of mines house. I enjoy peaceful, low people places and clean air and surroundings. The best is making coffee, and sitting outside on the porch. Heck! I need to go back, and stay longer. And the animals.

We’ve stayed at Mark of Design many times! We enjoy the beautiful & peaceful setting of the horse farm. In addition to watching the horses in the fields, we saw deer, wild turkeys & rabbits. It is also very convenient for restaurants in downtown Hillsville, as well as nearby Galax & Mt Airy.

Sharon is a wonderful, pleasant, and communicative host who really cares about the guests having a positive stay and experience.

Stayed here for my son’s graduation from VA Tech this weekend. Was a great location. A short drive to both campus and town! Very cute and private with a nice deck.

The townhouse was as expected. Well stocked kitchen which we used for our catered dinners. Roomie family room for our family as well as my two college kids who visited when we were there. Location was close to a grocery store, Starbucks and gas station. Excellent communication for my handful of questions. We had a great weekend at the home celebrating my daughter’s graduation. The fresh cut flowers were a nice touch as well as the VT gifts for my Hokie and the snack basket! Thank you!

Wonderful, quaint house. Enjoyed the screened porch and yard. Location was convenient for walking to Campus and Main Street. Great stay overall!

Johanna was super responsive and kind. Any Tech parents should expect to drive on windy roads from campus, but the peace and quiet was well worth it. The cottage is well equipped and has a fun, funky sense of style. We would definitely recommend.

Our family felt right at home at Leslie’s place! Since it was freezing in Blacksburg, we enjoyed watching football on their big TV on the comfy couches that fit our whole family. After going to the freezing VT vs UVA game, it was nice to return to a lovely home nearby. The house was clean and spacious. We will definitely stay here again!

Charming and secluded cabin with beautiful views! Was comfortable and cozy. Lindsay was so helpful and responsive. We really enjoyed our weekend stay!

My family and I are already talking about making a trip out here again. The house is so beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. The cost seems like a lot up front, but splitting it amongst guests and with everything you get made it worth it. Much better than a hotel. It’s a very private area with immediate access to a creek. Super quiet. There was also a full kitchen and kitchen supplies, clean and spacious bathrooms, plenty of extra amenities like board games, magazines, movies, blankets, air mattresses, soaps, etc. Dana was very responsive and kind. The listing could have a little more information on what the house comes with, but I was incredibly happy with my stay. Would stay here again!
