Holiday rentals with lake access in Montgomery County

We had a lovely experience in our little cottage. Everything was neat and clean. Right after we arrived, a deer walked by. There is a very nice park at the end of the street. Our dogs loved walking and sniffing everywhere. The view of the lake and mountains is peaceful. People fished and picnicked . There is a pier. I saw people boating, and riding on wave runners. Draper Mercantile is nearby. The menu is tasty and there is a variety of coffees, beer and wine available. Right there is an ice cream shop called Conerys. A bike trail is right there by Draper’s.

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay at your beautiful lakefront home during my son’s VT graduation! The house was spacious, had a fantastic game room enjoyed by all ages, and the view was spectacular! We had everything we needed for an enjoyable time, and campus was easily accessed by backroads, with little traffic. We’d definitely book again. Thank you for your hospitality, and great communication!

What a gem Lake Daze is. Tim and Melissa are the most gracious host. Trust me when I say pictures don’t prepare you for how incredible this home is. We felt as if we were visiting family not a rental. The house is clean, incredibly equipped and every area is perfectly decorated. The beds are so comfy with high end linens. We spent so much time on the main deck it was perfect dining and lounging. The men really enjoyed fishing off the dock. It is a very peaceful location! Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time! The home was clean and beautiful, plenty to do there at the home and in the surrounding areas. Even with the many homes on the street, it felt private and relaxing the entire weekend. The host, Joe, was also so friendly! He gave us a tour when we got there, was extremely helpful, and he even helped us start our fire in the fire pit when he saw we were struggling. Wonderful place, great hospitality, would absolutely book this place again! Thank you Joe!

We stayed for a week at Barbara's place and had the BEST time. The dock was roomy and great for fishing or just sitting by the water. The house is located on a calm park of the lake great for swimming and kayaking (not a lot of boat traffic). We all caught lots of sunfish and bass during our stay. The large windows overlooking the lake were great especially on the rainy days we had. Everything we needed was provided. The only thing I would suggest or would change is adding a bottom lock to the front door. The keypad is a nice easy feature, but an extra lock while inside would be nice. Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

Charming and secluded cabin with beautiful views! Was comfortable and cozy. Lindsay was so helpful and responsive. We really enjoyed our weekend stay!

We had a great time. The home is beautiful and the view of the lake is awesome. Luis was very accommodating and communicative with us while we were there. He is a great host and I would highly recommend renting from him!! We had a fun time celebrating our son’s graduation from Virginia Tech!!

We enjoyed our stay at Jason’s place! It was the perfect spot for our family yo spend a week together. The creek and grounds were beautiful and added a special atmosphere to our stay.

We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

Absolutely beautiful location! Perfect home for our nephews college graduation. We spent most of the days outside on the deck overlooking the peaceful lake. The entire home was comfortable and welcoming. We especially liked the record player in the living room. Would love to visit this home in the fall to see the foliage. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us on our special weekend.

We loved our stay at Little Sycamore. It is a beautiful and peaceful place on the river. The hosts are wonderful people as are the neighbors. The view of the river is spectacular and it is tucked back off the main road so there is very little noise. Access to the river is excellent and we had alot of fun fishing and being out on the water. The hosts have worked very hard on the house and everything was spotless. We really like how convenient it was to the stores and amenities. The dogs had a great time playing in the back yard and in the river. The porch is a fantastic place to just sit and relax and listen to the sounds of the river. I highly recommend staying at Little Sycamore. We definitely plan on making future reservations.

A long weekend at this vacation spot was just what my son, granddaughter, and I needed. The house was clean, inviting, and well organized. We relaxed on the porch and listened to the river. For a couple of days the river was swift and cloudy, but once it cleared and we could see the bottom, we took our floats and waded right in, oooh chilly! And afterward we managed those flights of steps back up ( ages 8-73). Driving up from NC we stopped in Mt Airy for some photo ops. Other side trips were Mabry Mill, Nancy's Candies, and the Friday Night Jamboree and street music in Floyd. What a treat! As we left the area we toured Mountain Music Museum near Galax and enjoyed the Noon time Music in the Breezeway. Our favorite eats were the home cooked veggies and meals at Crooked Oak Restaurant. If you would like to sit beside the river or the fire pit you might want to bring along a couple of lightweight folding chairs. Can't think of anything else you'll need.

Really beautifully done home in the woods. Hot tub was great. About 1 hour and 15 minutes to Virginia Tech on windy roads, a little tense driving but beautiful landscape. House was immaculate, thank you!
