Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Morecambe

We came up just for a long weekend to watch the Pen-y-Ghent fell race. It was a family regroup so needed to be close to the railway. The cottage was lovely, had every we needed and everything worked. The hosts communicated everything we needed to know in good time and warmly which was much appreciated. There was plenty of information about the local amenities and had a lovely Father’s Day meal at the Bridge Inn in Tatham. The weather was a bit changeable which was a shame because I bet you can see a lot of stars without all the light pollution we get down south. It didn’t hurt the experience at all and we would definitely book again. Just need better knees to explore the locality. Thanks Alison and Simon for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

It was our first time staying in Lancaster. We were attending a family wedding and much prefer an Airbnb than booking into a hotel. The hosts were very responsive to any query we had and ensured we had everything we needed. The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of towels and bedding provided for our stay. The location of the house was perfect for what we needed. It is a very short walk to the train station which was handy for us as we had to pickup our son and his fiancé from there. It is also perfectly situation for the short walk into the town. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

The cottage was beautifully located and the views were peaceful with the grazing sheep and cows. We found the small grocery store that was a 10 minute drive very convenient. Also, Lancaster was a little further and had anything you might need. Windermere was about an hour's drive from the cottage.

Lovely host thank you for letting us stay! Your place is very nice and it felt homely! Maureen was very communicative from check in through to check out. Would recommend!

Fab place to stay with a lovely homely feel....sadly we were not there for long as we had to leave very early for our daughter to do a skydive!

A lovely cottage, in a great location. Had everything we needed and more. Easy instructions to get to location and for check in and check out. Visited Ingleton waterfalls trail, only half hour drive from cottage and well worth visiting, beautiful! Would definitely stay at the cottage again.

A lovely house, in an excellent situation within a few minutes of the city centre. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay and the milk and short bread were a nice surprise.

The Port Hole was perfect for my week of workshops around Lancashire. Central and well connected, it was a haven to come back to. Steve even helped me to mend a couple of bits of my equipment that broke. The kitchen had everything I needed and the slightly eccentric shower room worked perfectly well. Comfy bed too! Would certainly return. Thank you, Steve!

We had a lovely stay; the location is wonderful, surrounded by farmland with baby lambs overlooking the seating area! The apartment is very well specced and looked after, with a small garden house further up the hill opposite and an amazing river a short walk across the fields where we went for a swim. The photos do not do the property justice, it is a gem. Would definitely come back to use as a quiet base to explore the lakes from again.

Diane's house is a beautiful place to stay in Lancaster. In the surroundings of the city's Castle, the place is well placed in the heart of the city and just 7 mints to the main stores. The house is small but it has everything you need, including a living room to have lunch and well equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfy to sleep. I struggled to find the house at the beginning due to incorrect name of the street. Other than that, the experience was gorgeous. I will definitely suggest to stay there.

Excellent place to stay. Great location for Preston City Centre. Very clean bed,bathroom and facilities. Wi fi excellent - would definitely stay again. One thing which is not John’s fault - since getting back I’ve had 4 separate parking fines from Preston council for driving (£140 total at least!) through a ‘bus gate’ which I wasn’t aware of, the satnav just took me that way! Would be useful for a heads up when staying in the city centre!

What a place! Far better then my fiends 4* hotel. 4 mins walk frim the winter gardens, 3 mins walk to the shopping centre, 9 mins walk from Blackpool North train station. So clean and tidy. I slept on the sofa bed and had a few goods night sleep. I couldnt fault it. Towels, bedding, kitchen fully fitted (utensils etc). I will stay again!!!

A beautiful studio in a gorgeous location. Eric and Julie were very welcoming on our arrival, we will return.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Exactly as described. Set up with everything needed for a self catering stay. Central location to shops and beach. The flat decor is a little tired but was clean and comfortable.

lovely apartment which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great central location with fantastic public transport near by. Lottie had sent some reccomendations to visit and places to eat. Like most places Mondays are tricky finding a restaurant open. Everything was great and Lottie was a kind and responsive host who left us gorgeous local goodies to ear, much appreciated

We absolutely loved the rooftop! Arriving to a few treats and a hand written card was a perfect start to our stay! The apartment was very clean and tidy, we highly recommend!

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!

Ray and Sue made our stay amazing. We loved the surroundings and the efforts of the gardens. Caton is a beautiful village with everything you need at your fingertips. We enjoyed our stay and the access to the walks nearby. We completed the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail which was only a 30 minute drive away. The Station pub served lovely food and had a wonderful garden, it was only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Thank you for looking after us

This is our second time staying at the loft and we were not disappointed. As expected everything was clean and tidy and all that was required in the kitchen was in place. Alison and Victor were very helpful and accommodating before our stay regarding our booking. If we visit the area in the future we will definitely return to the loft and I will recommend to family and friends

A charming place to stay, full of character, clean and well equipped - and very comfy beds! Cathy was a wonderful host, welcoming and responsive. The location of the property was great being in a lovely location by the castle and within easy walking distance of the city centre so no need to use the car once we had arrived! (We did drive out of Lancaster on one day but could have used the local train service and Lancaster train station is nearby). We had a lovely time and definitely would love to come back and stay again.

Great Airbnb! Would definitely stay again! Kitchen had a great amount of equipment and spices available, living room was lovely with a smart tv, bed was very soft and comfortable, decent wifi to work from there. Highly recommend
