This is a very comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, and clean home. It’s in a quiet neighborhood close to Reykjavik with a beautiful view. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

The host, Mr. G, was a helpful and accommodating host. He came through for us when an accommodation fell through for us in another place. It has a great kitchen and bathroom with a good shower. Thank you, Mr G for your hospitality! We recommend you to everyone.

A peaceful and private cabin surrounded by mountains and a lake. The house is beautiful and spacious. A well stocked kitchen made it easy to cook dinners and breakfast. Plenty of space for 5 adults and 1 child to spread out and relax. Thankful for such a kind, patient, responsive host!

A beautiful and peaceful place in a neighborhood of new construction, far enough away from the crowd and tourists downtown but close enough to get there in 20min by car when desired. Easy access to the Golden Circle. Was perfect for my family and having two bathrooms was particularly nice. Communication was always quick and excellent.

I recently stayed at this fantastic Airbnb. The location was ideal, just a short drive from the city center, offering easy access to local shops and restaurants. The vibrant neighborhood was peaceful, making us feel right at home. The property itself was a standout, featuring impressive amenities. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep a joy, with modern appliances and ample cookware at our disposal. The stylish living space, complete with a cozy couch and high-quality entertainment system, was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Fast Wi-Fi ensured we stayed connected when needed. The host was incredibly responsive, providing excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions.

Stayed here for a night to explore the city before heading to the airport the next day. The hot water did have a strong sulfur smell, but other than that, the place was as described. We appreciated the coffee and the washing machine. Loved the location and that everything was so walkable. Bring eye masks for sleeping and be prepared to heat things up the old fashioned way without a microwave. We also appreciated the quick responses when we had questions. We will forever remember our stay here in Iceland. Anna is an exceptional host who greeted us on arrival and welcomed us into her beautiful home so kindly. She was available whenever we had questions and was extremely accommodating. The picturesque landscape is quite unbelievable surrounding her home and we felt so welcomed to walk about as we wished. This quaint little apartment was exactly what we needed after a LONG journey to get to Iceland. Clear instructions to get to and in the building, bed was very comfy, and we really really appreciated the black out blinds considering we came to Iceland when the sun never sets. Host was very responsive whenever we had a questions.

Biggest concern we have when we travel is a good night’s sleep. One of the main deciding factors for choosing this place was that several people had commented on a comfortable bed. It did not disappoint. We slept great! Location was great for us as it was just outside the city. Host was super responsive and accommodating. If there was something you needed but didn’t have, she would happily get it. We would definitely stay there again!

All I can say is — the rumors are true! This place is one of the best AirBnBs I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve been doing this a while. Sigridur and Omar are wonderful hosts— they made me feel right at home, very friendly and helpful with recommendations for where to eat and shop, and generally very sweet and welcoming people. The apartment actually seemed a bit bigger and more adorable in person. I was verycomfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Jon’s Penthouse. It was easy walking distance to all the main sights in Reykjavik, plus there were many restaurants and groceries close by. Since there was an elevator to the fourth floor, it was easy to manage with luggage. Even though it is in the city, we never heard any noise. The apartment is very tidy and has all the amenities needed for a nice stay. We did not totally understand how to use the hot spot, but did not need it since we had eSIMs. Each evening we watched a variety of movies on Netflix, which were much appreciated. Although it was pleasant when we arrived at the end of May, by the beginning of June a huge storm arrived and it was so windy, I could barely stand when walking. However, Jon’s place is a warm and quiet oasis in a storm.

Dit appartement is een prima verblijf om Reykjavik en omgeving te verkennen. Het ligt in een erg rustige buurt waar ook veel ambassades zijn, maar je bent in zeker tien minuten te voet in het levendige centrum van de stad. Het appartement is relatief klein en goed ingericht en voldoet uitstekend voor twee personen. Maja & Gunnar zijn vriendelijke hosts die je voorafgaande aan je reis en tijdens je verblijf volop informeren over hoe en wat. Aanrader!

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

Great place to stay. Has everything you need. You would need a car to stay here, it’s only a few minutes outside the city center and we found this really convenient, but probably would have been bothered if we didn’t have a car.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

I cannot recommend this condo enough. This was a great place right outside of Reykjavík that allowed us to quickly go into town and provided a great jumping off point for our tours. The condo was welcoming and very clean - it is exactly how the photos and description describe it. The amenities were great, and the laundry was wonderful after long days. Also, Hannes was a phenomenal host. He allowed us to check in early because of an early morning flight, and was extremely responsive to any question I had. I cannot wait to return and rebook this condo. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you Hannes for your hospitality!

We’ve been travelling through Europe for the last few months and Emilia’s place is one of the very best Airbnbs we have stayed in! Everything was provided and the hosts went over and above to help out and make our stay in Reykjavik so enjoyable. Very highly recommend!

Super kind and amazing hosts! Fantastic view and really cozy apartment. Feeling “home” and comfort embraced all the days there. Clean, modern with touch of artistry apartment-studio. All needed equipment available. Silence and peace with beautiful view and kind people.

Wow! This was literally the best place we stayed in Iceland and also maybe the best AirBnB experience we've had (and there have been A LOT over the years). Hilmar is a GREAT host -- and the apartment is both quirky, clean, peaceful, super comfortable AND in the middle of all the action in Reykjavik. We loved the art, the kitchen, the adorable bathroom, the sun streaming in off the deck, the bakery down the street. We cannot rave enough about this place. Book it if you can. Oh -- and parking was surprisingly easy despite it being centrally located.
