Also separate laundry/toilet/shower area. Private entry and completely private to our upstairs dwelling. We are also a very quiet household so keep that in mind

Cosy, zen studio in the heart of Takaka village

Welcome to our garden property just 100m from the main Takaka shops. The studio is large and cosy with its own bathroom. You will enjoy privacy with your own deck but we are always around for a chat and love meeting new people. There are no cooking facilities (but we do have a fridge, kettle, toaster etc so you can enjoy your morning coffee and muesli etc). You are just two minutes stroll away from some truly great cafes and restaurants - The Wholemeal Cafe is our favourite, open 7 days.

Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. Its in a great location and a great base to explore Golden Bay from. Enjoy getting back to the basics, dozing in a hammock, a friendly weka or two and a spectacular night sky.

High on the hill, you'll appreciate the peace and privacy, yet you can meander down the bush path from the front lawn and be on the beach in a minute or two. Engage in the beach, the river, the walks or simply relax - it's easy to do here! - and enjoy the lush views from Farewell Spit to Separation Point. Whilst stargazing you can catch both the Pillar Point and Farewell Spit lighthouses.
