The cabin is warm and cozy, sunny, wood burner & heat pump. location is nestled between Grandview and Lake Hāwea station. We have no light pollution making for incredible stargazing.

Location is between Wanaka and the airport, only a minute or two drive to the lavender farm. The unit is attached to our shed, it has 1 bedroom, bathroom and an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with excellent indoor outdoor flow. Owned by a young family, please make sure you’re ok with hearing kids and sounds that come from a rural environment

You enter via a shared lobby. From here you take the stairs to your own private guest suite with a spacious lounge complete with a stunning view over Lake Wanaka. This area has an armchair and a large chaise sofa bed with TV, mini fridge & tea/coffee facilities. Off the living space is the bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a large shower. The room is attached to our house but is completely separate with private space for guests. There is no kitchen or laundry facilities.

Furnished for your comfort with a luxurious King bed. On the deck there's a large 2 person sized hot bath (no jets) with views to the mountains for your relaxation .

Southwind Barn is situated on our 14 acre lifestyle farm. The barn has recently been decorated with a rustic western cowboy style. This unique accommodation is only 5 minutes drive (5km) from Wanaka township, and is the perfect place to relax, or use as a base for some Wanaka “adventures”. All rooms look out onto a private garden area with views of the mountains. The barn is situated close to the paddocks so you will enjoy seeing the sheep, lambs, and calf wandering by.
