Monthly Rentals in Mount Norikura

We had a little trouble getting there by train... but as soon as we arrived, our worries disappeared. We were greeted by Miwa's mother who was immediately very kind and inviting. She gave us a tour of the accommodation with explanations. She speaks only a little English, but she used her phone to translate for us, which was very much appreciated. During the rest of the stay, she was always available to answer our questions. We also did business with her for the rental of electric bicycles, a very pleasant activity. On our last evening, Miwa's mom even came to offer us a homemade dessert. The accommodation itself is a traditional house that is too cute and very spacious. In short, a great experience, we loved it. ❤️

What a hidden little (actually not so little) gem!! It was great to stay in a tradional Japanese house and we used it as a base to go to Kamikochi. Literally everything you could possibly need, Sachika has thought of it. The air-conditioning in the 2 bedrooms were a great relieve as outside temperature was approx 34 degrees. The public onsen across the road was nice amd even a foot bath onsen within walking distance was a great experience. The fast flowering river right outside the front was just stunning! There weren't many restaurants around open so we cooked ourselves. Best is to do groceries in the larger townships before coming here. We would give this place a 10/10. Thanks again Sachika for being such a great host and offering this on the airbnb platform.

Noriko was a fabulous host. Her house was spotless and I very much enjoyed the rural and local surrounding area. She was easy to communicate with, responded promptly and even gave tips for what to do in the area.
