Cottage holiday rentals in Nanaimo

This is the second time we have stayed in this cottage community and will be staying again. The neighbourhood is super organized and spic and span. Thanks Judy, We had a blast

This place is really special and exactly as it looks in the photos (but better in person!) We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and listening to the local birds in the trees that surround the cabin. The view from the terrace is really magnificent!! We also indulged in the wood fired hot tub to make the most out of the beautiful forest surroundings. This stay was really one to remember, and I'm already dreaming about coming back another time. The roadside parking space had plenty of room for one car, two vehicles would be a tight squeeze.

Our group of seven absolutely loved Danoosh’s place! Lots of amenities, short drive to town, private space, GREAT beds, lots of towels and flip flops for the hot tub! Right off the highway, so quite a lot of road noise (mostly during the day), but it didn’t bother our group at all - just something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to it. We absolutely loved playing badminton in the yard! Would definitely recommend Danoosh’s place.

Had such a great time in this beautiful little cottage, they have everything you need and more! We are eager to come back and can’t wait to explore more of the astonishing surrounding area. Thanks so much for your hospitality Molly and Tony!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home with two families and young children. The location cannot be beat - a few minute walk to the centre of town and right on the ocean. The home itself was comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. Corry was extremely quick to respond to a couple of questions we had when we arrived. We would highly recommend for anyone visiting Gibsons, with or without kids.

Very great place to stay for vacation. A LOT of attractions around Parksville. The host is very responsive and friendly and gave lots of suggestions. Great place!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Starfish Cottage. The house itself was so clean and inviting, as soon as we entered we felt comfortable and at home. The location is great, we took full advantage of the swimming pool and mini golf. We went to the Black Goose Inn (charming English-like pub) twice while we were there as it was just down the road. Super easy drive into Parksville which had everything we could possibly need. My daughter had her 4th birthday here, and really enjoyed herself. We all talked about how much we want to come back again, and we certainly intend to!

We had a wonderful vacation at Judy’s Seabreeze cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking basics, Saran Wrap and all the utensils you could want for cooking. We had our young children with us, and the pack and plays and sand toys made our lives much easier! The entire cottage was extremely clean and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. I would highly recommend Seabreeze cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This is a fantastic quaint little beach cottage to enjoy the island's natural beauty. Easy access to fun on the water. The family really enjoyed the lawn sports items the hosts provided. Thank you!

We had such a great stay here. The location was phenomenal, minutes to the village but still quiet, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I think the best way to describe the house is that while it is old, it was clearly well loved by whoever lived there. Everything was well labeled, clean and cared for. The best part of all was how kid-friendly it was, we didn’t have to bring our own pack and play or highchair and our son loved all the “new toys.” Will absolutely be back!

We had a great long weekend at Gloria’s cottage. The marina was beautiful to look over and the general store was convenient for basics. The staff were friendly and very helpful for recommendations around the island.

Absolutely wonderful! The place is nestled in its own little apot of heaven. We were able to go on walks every day seeing the gorgeous wildlife all around us. It was definitely hard to leave when our time was over! 10/10 would recommend

Karen’s place was perfect for our large family. We were perfectly situated to get to amenities and to head out on day trips. It was easy to find and easy to check in. Karen and Mary were super responsive to messages. The space is quirky and charming. The upstairs space worked perfect for our boys, who greatly enjoyed their own space that included a tv and their own beds! It definitely would be difficult to access the upstairs for someone with mobility issues, the stairs are very steep. The steps have rugged carpet to make it easier and avoid slipping. The games cupboard and lawn ladder golf games were greatly appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed, and extra towels came in handy for beach days. We were very busy during the days so did not get to spend a whole lot of time in the backyard, but it was lovely and much larger than I had anticipated. Would recommend this stay!

George was an attentive and generous host, and we experienced true hospitality here. He went out of his way for us. The cottage has gardens on all sides and hummingbirds on the porch. The area is quiet and the neighbours are friendly. Make sure to visit the Deep Bay Marine Field Station, and Rathtrevor Beach at low tide. The drive to Tofino/Ucluelet area was exceptional and worth a day trip. Thanks George and Marion!

Judy’s place was very comfortable and well equipped. Furniture and beds were top notch. Judy arranged for us to use a neighbouring resort’s pool when hers closed for maintenance. She was a great host. We had a great time at her place and would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing stay at Myra and Ron’s place! Great place for families - the beach is very close and we appreciated the beach toys that they left for our kids to play with. The binder they created with places to go is really thorough. The place is clean and well equipped - we cooked all our dinners there and never missed anything. We stayed there 5 days and could have stayed longer! Thanks a lot!

This has been our 5th or 6th trip here and it’s always perfect! Josha and Sam are so friendly and the space is completely private. It’s the perfect get away.

This is such a special place! The Cabin is an authentic, traditional family cabin, with plenty of supplies for a comfortable stay, but the location right on the lake is something else! We loved using the boats, spotting wildlife, playing on the beach. Such a memorable place to be with our family. We were also grateful for the prompt communication from Don. Thanks again

Kevan's home is thoughtfully decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is lots of seating, indoors and out making it a great place for our family to hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped, and all appliances function well. The beds are comfortable and everyone slept well. The standout is the spectacular garden. A true oasis. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again. Lisa

Had a wonderful stay, our pups had a great time, just walked across the street and we were on the beach. The road in front is a dead end with more people walking on it than cars! Wonderful view out the bank of windows - even saw a Black Bear early one morning walk down the driveway. Place was well stocked and exactly what a rustic cottage should be.

We had a great stay! Grandkids swam in the pool most every evening, and it was great to have the beach so close! Accommodations were very clean, comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils needed for preparing meals and grilling. The grands loved discovering the box of toys too!

Hugh and Deb's place worked out great for us. We were visiting family nearby. The place was spotless, extremely clean and tidy. The hot tub was a nice bonus that we enjoyed. They were responsive hosts to any questions.

This place is a gem! We enjoyed our stay very much. This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Thanks Martin and Janis! Would love to return one day!
