Previously booked this airbnb after a friend booked a similar airbnb next door to the current one last year when i came to Osaka. Really convenient and good pricing for an airbnb as its a few minutes walk from Shin-Osaka Station. Overall a good experience too since they have amenities which are able to accommodate the trip for me and my friends and a host which is responsive and friendly to our needs

I stayed alone this time. Both the accommodation and the garden were very beautifully arranged, and I had a pleasant time. I was soothed by the tastefully arranged plants, the lovely decor, and the rich nature visible from the window while relaxing on the sofa. In the solo treatment, I was able to spend a luxurious time for myself. Time passed slowly, and I felt as if I had returned to my childhood, and I was moved by Chiko's gentle care. Thanks to Tomoko, I had a wonderful time.Thank you!

A great place a bit out the way, I would definitely stay again .I would recommend to rent a car or a bicycle to get back at night. the local Transit shuts down 8ish. but a very nice place. just look for all the boats.

This was a beautiful and peaceful stay in the country side. Shun was so kind and picked us up at the train station and took us to the supermarket as it was dinner time and restaurants were closed. His wife drove us to the station day of check out which was extremely kind. Great place to stay to get away from the city with a great host!

Terry was an amazing host from start to finish. She picked us up and dropped us off at the local metro station, although it's only an 8 minute walk, it was a big help with the luggage. She was always in touch, for example when a electric kettle was not working well, she immediately replaced it (there was also a normal kettle to use in the meantime!). The space was perfect for our needs, well equipped, clean, cozy, and had a sense of nostalgia that was very enjoyable. It's in a quiet neighborhood behind a historic temple, a few minutes walk to grocery stores, a delightful neighborhood izakaya, bakeries, and a place for the best breakfast and coffee ever called Hive. I will definitely stay at Terry's place the next time I make it to Kyoto... hopefully soon!

Pro - Its a very good place. The kitchen cutlery is complete. The scenery is amazing. Clean and wifi is good. Definitely come again! Cons - bathroom only 1. So takes a lot of time. The view is great but the location is far from town. Need to travel 40mins just to reach town. So waste time there.

Gorgeous location and warm generous hosts! We enjoyed our stay in the large traditional home where we played mahjong and go by the fire, but what sets this place apart is the hospitality of the hosts. They offer complimentary bicycles and local treats that allowed us to savor the best of Miyama. We will dream about the delicious food prepared lovingly at the restaurant next door, apart from the idyllic landscape it will be the reason we return.

Sakaean is a special home. It provided a traditional Kyoto home with modern amenities. It’s a family home passed down through generations. The host spent years traveling internationally and incorporated her experiences in the home that provided us a great experience. The host was very helpful with tourist advice and even booked dinner reservations at a traditional restaurant that only spoke Japanese.

Our family of 6, including 2 kids, loved the location for its proximity to the bamboo forest and Arashiyama shopping area. The space was immaculately clean and hosts even turned on the living room AC for our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked and my son loved having video games to play. The bicycles were a great way to go see some temples. One warning is because it’s such a residential area, it seemed like many restaurants closed early so we got stuck eating konbini dinner one of the nights - our fault!

Beautiful traditional place, refurbished to a high quality, in a picturesque quiet residential neighbourhood. Special experience to stay somewhere like this. Would strongly recommend getting bikes though since it’s not near a metro station, as you’ll need to travel for the sites and for places to eat and drink. You’ll also need to consider if you will dislike all the door heights being low, or the ceiling lamps. I hit my head a number of times - but that’s just a fact for the style of place not a fault of this property.

Lovely place would highly recommend and would go back if I'm in Kyoto.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this house in a village near Kyoto. The home is incredibly cozy and spacious, with a stunning inner garden that brings such peace and serenity — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The house is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. It beautifully blends traditional architecture with modern comforts and technologies. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. I couldn’t be happier with our stay — we enjoyed every moment and left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

The amenities of the homestay are new, the hygiene is clean, the transportation is convenient to Nijo, there are business supermarkets and other large supermarkets around, we have made authentic food and experience the Kyoto life in depth, the homestay is very recommendable, Emily is very attentive, reply promptly, I will choose next time I come to Kyoto

Staying at this AIRBNB was an amazing experience. The host was on top of everything, and was so nice. 👍 I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an escape from the city. The surroundings were breathtaking.

Place was a lot bigger than I thought!It is clean and tidy, made up of 3 large houses, and the owner is very quick to respond.A great place for multiple families.
