One of only a few Nauvoo red brick Pioneer homes not owned by The LDS church. The Manor is located next to the historic road to Carthage. Rufus Abbott started building this home in 1839 and finished it in 1845 just before his family left with Brigham Young to travel to Salt Lake City in Feb 1846.

It is now a beautiful boutique cottage for overnight guests staying in the Nauvoo area. We are located on a working grain farm 6 miles southeast of Nauvoo. PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING or VAPING on the premises. We do have security cameras outside of the town hall building, which provide security and lighting for all guests.

Very clean and very comfortable. The host included lots of little extra amenities that many other Airbnb‘s do not, such as bathroom, toiletries, and kitchen amenities. The bottled water, cookies and bottle of wine were much appreciated, as was the welcoming note. I hope to stay again.

Great place that is close to Nauvoo sites and downtown. We had one issue when arriving at the unit and Jared was very responsive and we were able to resolve the issue quickly. The unit was very nice with lots of space and updated with all the modern appliances and conveniences. We enjoyed the stay and Jared was a great host and very responsive.

This house completed our Nauvoo experience. Beautiful house and yard. The furnishings and historical decorations make this place. If you want to experience the time period, but still feel comfortable, stay here. We stayed a week which was perfect amount of time to see everything in Nauvoo. The hosts have really gone all out to make it a great atmosphere.

Had a great time; the home was off the beaten path in a quiet residential neighborhood, but was just a short drive to coffee shops, restaurants, local attractions etc. The home was so cute and cozy and a great place for us to make ourselves at home while in town. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog and we loved being able to walk her around the neighborhood as well. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Fort Madison!
