What a location, and a wonderful space! Tim greeted us, answered questions and even offered for us to use his washing machine to catch up dirty clothes accumulation with our new Zealand road trip, most welcoming. We will definitely use the great outdoor bath next time, a little too cold and wet weather for this time !

Great little cabin right on the riverside. very peaceful and private. Loved the outdoor firepit and outdoor bath. Very cosy cabin! Gr4eat communication from the start. Will definitely be back

From my Mrs: My partner and I LOVED our stay. I was in awe of everything, we had a bath underneath the stars, had a nice hot meal in the little kitchen at the top — waking up to the nice golden light in the morning and being able to see Whakaari UGH perfection. The beach is a 7 minute walk away and it’s so cool! The horses there are beautiful. Just everything here was so good and relaxing, felt really sad to leave but definitely keeping this place as one of our go-to’s for some time away from home. Thank you, Sarah! We've really enjoyed our stay in Tarras. The place is located in a very idyllic place, with nothing much around. Great to look at stars as there is no light. The house is well equipped. Craig and Jenelle were super helpful and friendly.

"Luxurious Escape at Kowhai House – Highly Recommended!" Even with bad weather, our stay at Kowhai House was wonderful! This luxurious tiny home, beautifully designed by owner Dave, offers a fantastic escape. The outdoor deck with its fire pitt is perfect for enjoying the stunning native bush views. Inside, the home feels spacious and high-end. A huge plus was that Dave arranged a mobile massage for us (at an extra cost), which was absolutely worth it and added to the luxury. Kowhai House is a truly memorable and relaxing getaway. Thank you, Dave!

Wonderful Experience! We stayed at a lovely Airbnb and fell in love with the place from the first moment. Everything was clean, organized, and tastefully decorated. The host was kind, responsive to any questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere was warm and homey. Highly recommended, and we’d be happy to come back again!

Most excellent accommodation. Interior and design is modern, classic and unique. Great use of space. Love the black accents. Bed super comfy. Shower is fantastic.Has all you need. Simon turn on the heating before we arrived, so cosy. Love the sheep and hens antics.

We stayed at Kimberley & Jamie’s lovely place for a week while working in the area. What a good choice it turned out to be. Set in an incredible spot on top of a hill, the Airbnb is pristine, peaceful, warm and well-equipped. The hosts are discreet, responsive and flexible. We enjoyed every minute even in the wildest of weather! Highly recommended.

The Walnut Box is simply perfect - large, spacious, new, very well equiped, very comfortable and with pantry staples. The location is on a high spot on a dairy farm with magnificent views. Very highly recommended.

A beautiful outlook. Small size but had everything we needed and the outlook and veranda made it feel much bigger. Great local breakfast produce provided. The fire was roasting hot, spotless and comfortable. Internet and streaming worked well. Well positioned near several restaurants and wineries, and near the Omaha plane display. Andy and MaryAnn were warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.
