The chalet was beyond our expectations! Very peaceful and a beautiful hidden gem. We needed a place to unwind and relax and not worry about life and what time of day it was and this place has it all! The art work is absolutely stunning!!Beautiful view of Island Pond from the fire pit spot too a gorgeous nite sky from the hot tub!!

A wonderful weekend in a beautiful area with friendly locals. Secluded, peaceful, bright & cozy, and with everything you could possibly need at your finger tips - 'The Birdhouse' has it all. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or winding down at the end of each day, the beautiful view of the ocean through/a top the trees was so relaxing. Being able to bring our fury family member who enjoys a 'get away' as much as us is always greatly appreciated. Thank you to our hosts. Definitely hope to return. Dion & Wanda

What an amazing cabin in the perfect location to enjoy a peaceful vacation away from all the noise. The fall colours were unreal and was the perfect backdrop for the pond view. Chad was an outstanding host. This is a must do if you are looking for a quiet Newfoundland get away. We’ll be back for sure!

Matthew was extremely proactive in contacting us and providing all the necessary information. His housekeeper was very helpful and met us at the ferry. She even arranged to have the local store open for us after we forgot to stock up on supplies at our previous stop. We had a wonderful trip and we would gladly stay with Matthew again.

I have stayed at many airbnbs.This is absolutely. The best you are in want of nothing Dwayne. Make sure that you're very comfortable. Everything is well stocked, everything was spotless clean. Dwayne couldn't do enough for us. This was our second time and it will not be our last. Thank you, Dwayne for a wonderful, wonderful weekend.

Lovely wood cabin (rustic, like the name suggests) but with all the amenities to make for a peaceful stay. And the view onto Tors Cove Pond (lake? 😉) is just stunning! Wish we could have gone in; next time perhaps!

Wonderful week in the community of Gallants. Scenic place to walk along the river and bird watch. The cabin was completely renovated; clean, comfortable and matched the pictures. I’ll be booking another week on my way back home in a few months! 10/10.

This Airbnb was amazing! Hot tub, fire pit, yards games, kayaks and paddle boats! You can’t ask for more! Kelly was really helpful and responded quickly when I had questions. Great place to stay for sure!

Amazing little off grid cabin in the woods, exactly what we were looking for! Off the beaten path for sure, but still close to town. The instructions were perfectly clear, dirt road is just that, so for us exactly as expected. Take note in the description that the cabin mostly runs on solar (heat is separate, a smart feature!). We arrived on a rainy day so we did not have power but since we had been camping we were totally fine with this! And it was remedied promptly once we let the host know. Absolutely recommend for those looking to unplug but still have a couple creature comforts. Would book again!

The swim spa/hot tub house alone made this trip well worth it! But the cabin was absolutely beautiful, we enjoyed spending time in both. The beds are super comfy, it has a wood burning fire place for those cold nights, the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The loft area was fabulous. The large covered deck with bbq was great for the drizzly day we had. But that hot tub! That was something else! Highly recommend and we will be returning!

An absolutely stunning spot! We brought our kayaks and made great use of the pond! Everything was super clean, and had lots of amenities. Bethany was a great host, responsive and friendly!

This was the BEST mini vacation ever! Gower is so friendly, thoughtful and is readily available should you need him. We had a blast fishing, bike riding, quad rides and a great feed of moose. This will be our go-to place every time we go to Clarenville. LOVE LOVE this place!

Area is an absolute sanctuary and just so peaceful and quiet. Friendly neighbourhood. The place itself is worth every penny and had everything we needed. No left over food from anyone which is a big plus. So clean and had everything we needed. Thank you for hosting us.

We had a great stay. Very quiet and had beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the unit with the hot tub. The hot tub was the best thing after travelling from St. Anthonys and a nice place to enjoy my morning coffee. We had a nice chat with Dwayne when we arrived. Nice guy! Denis and Lorraine
