The house was welcoming, full of useful items and very clean. Lovely location close to a park, nice walks, within minutes of the town centre. I’d highly recommend visiting this area and staying at Lyn’s house.

Perfect base for a lads and dads weekend. All the facilities we needed, comfortable, gorgeous views, no faff.

A great place to stay for a small group/family gathering. There are 2 living rooms and outdoor space so room to spread out. We loved the hot tub! The hobbit house is a cool addition with fairy lights, a Bluetooth speaker and is very well-insulated so warm even without the central fire going. The house has beautiful views and was a lovely place to relax and be cosy on rainy days. Only a short (15 mins) drive to the small towns of Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas, Threave Gardens and the Kite feeding place at Laurieston.

Lovely cottage, met our needs perfectly for a two night stay. Was nice to be able to have a peaceful walk along the river Nith almost from the doorstep and we particularly enjoyed the garden, what a lovely sunny spot.

We had a lovely short stay at the Old Schoolhouse. House was just as pictured on the site and felt really homely and comfortable and Treacle loved the back garden. We would definitely stay again.

Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

Amazing stay for birthday with friends. Best Airbnb I have stayed at and best hosts by far! Great peaceful weekend in the country and nothing was a problem even when we decided to add a few of the extras during our stay the guys sorted it with a quick message. Can’t wait to get back and stay again.

Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Fantastic stay. Caravan had everything we needed for our stay including condiments, iron, towels etc. Beautifully decorated and in a peaceful area. We will definitely be booking again!

absolutely amazing time away. beautiful caravan . It looks lovely in the photos but I was amazed at how stunning the views are and how beautiful the caravan is. So many touches to it ....plus so many extras too. Tea,Coffee biscuits,fudge and a bottle of Prosecco was also left. New doggy bed to use and treats also. We really felt looked after and alot of care and attention was put into us enjoying are stay. My doggie loved it as did we. Waking up and having a morning coffee on the balcony looking out to sea was fantastic. We just loved every day of it. The site and surroundings is so clean and well kept. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. There are lots to do on site or many walks to do and explore the area. Also a good base to visit surrounding areas and towns. I've stayed at several Air BnB and this is on my top 3 . Highly recommend a stay here. We will DEFINITELY be back . 10/10.

Just back from a fab stay here. The Chalet has every comfort you could think of and made our time at the site very enjoyable. Another shout out for the air fryer and dish washer plus generous supplies were in stock for our arrival. The whole place was lovely and clean with a surprising amount of space. There is a lot to do in the area, the Ayr farm park was a massive hit for our kiddo. Highly recommend!

Jacqui was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and so helpful and kind felt at home and so comfortable the place was spotless the hot-tubs were placed perfectly and got your own privacy with beautiful views. 10/10 will be back

Beautiful spot and perfect place for our family to stay in. The caravan was clean, with a well equipped kitchen, which we really liked! Wi-Fi was a bit poor, but we expected that as the site is quite remote. I recommend Dorota's place to anyone who wants to have a rest from their busy life. Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay at TOSH! It was the perfect place to escape for a few nights and relax in. The attention to detail throughout is clear to see and creates such a lovely vibe. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area.

We had the most wonderful time in this little tree house. Marie and Kenneth have put so much thought into the little details. There was games to play, milk, butter and even little containers of jam. The place was so cosy and the garden was just beautiful. We even got to meet Taffy the little sausage dog who was also very accommodating and friendly. We wish we booked for more than one night.

We had a fantastic stay at Brewery House. The property was immaculate and of really high spec. It was really well equipped and we felt really welcomed with complimentary fruit, snacks and hot drinks! The hot tub was a great addition and we thought the property was perfect for our two families with young children. We would definitely book again!

Beautiful cottage - comfortable, cosy and equipped with everything you’ll need for a great stay. Lots of lovely original features - especially the wonderful bath and shower! Wow! Where to start? I took a long time looking around to find the perfect last-minute break away for us. My wants really should have been impossible at the price we paid. However, it was absolutely perfect and fit our needs completely. it's a beautiful little property that is spotlessly clean The king-size bed is so comfy and it has all the amenities you could want. The spa bath unit with all the additional functions is just incredible. location is perfect. You can walk to restaurants and shops easily and there are so many lovely places to visit close by. Richard and Davina are wonderful hosts. I can't recommend this property enough. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Remote and beautiful location surrounded by fine trees, masses of birds including house martens, geese and red kites. The house is spacious and comfortable with everything you need at hand. The children loved the friendly horses, the boat on the little lake, the games that were available and being able to run round outside. Adults enjoyed the quietness and the hot tub!

What else can I add, an absolute beauty of a property. Was so easy to book and any questions we had were answered very quickly. Lovely touch was the welcome basket, very welcome! We had a fantastic 3 nights, we were lucky to be there whilst the Folk Festival was on and we went to check it out on the Saturday and Sunday. Would definitely return to this property.

This property is ideally placed. Quiet, well equipped and comfortable. Lovely view of the sea and hills when walking through the town. Just was really helpful.
