Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Nile

Walid was a great host, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. He was always available if I needed anything, but otherwise left to be at home - welcomed after a day exploring! The place was exactly what I expected, located on the West Bank, a very short walk from the public ferry. It offered some peace from intensity of the city. The secluded garden was a special place to start and finish days, feeling immersed in a more authentic Egyptian experience than I would get anywhere else. The Egyptian and Moroccan architecture makes for a fantastic experience, with domed ceilings and arches built into all the rooms, and some quite special bathrooms (I had a tour). My room was spacious, had plenty of places to spread out my things and all the modern features needed (AC, fridge, hot water, power sockets). Walid and his family have clearly put passion, energy and creativity into building this place and I really wish Walid success with future plans, which I hope to return and see.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

Sharm el sheikh it’s a beautiful place, but staying on the Airbnb of Ileana was even more incredible, she and her husband were always so kind, the Airbnb includes a private beach (in sharm all beaches are private for hotels and their hosts and public beaches to pay) and it’s amazing, and also you have a lot of things nearby, like supermarkets, pharmacy’s, etc, and the farsha cafe is also like 5-10 min away by walking. The host always made us feel like home and they included beach towels which were very helpful. A 20/10 experience staying here, totally recommend.

Truly one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at after being on the platform for 10+ years - Mahmoud's place is exactly like the photos look, and Mahmoud himself is the epitome of warmth and hospitality. I loved staying on the west side of the city - it was much quieter even while remaining convenient. The east side of the city is just a <10 min ferry ride across the river (and the dock is a ~7 min walk away from the Airbnb!)

Here's my advice. If you're not going to rent a car, be sure to agree with the host about a driver. It will be a comfortable and safe journey. The host will also help with making safari. The house is clean and in order to meet the requirements. The pool is clean, the rooms have air conditioning. Everything was nice, recommended.

I highly recommend booking Alaa's home! His house is stunning, very clean, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Alaa is an incredible host who will arrange all of your trips for you while you are visiting Luxor. The hot air balloon trip was our favorite experience, but Alaa also helped us go to all of the beautiful historical sites in the area. He was very helpful, friendly, and kind during our entire visit.

We loved the place because it is very close to the compound gate which ease the walk to nearby restaurants. Also, you feel like staying at home in term of cleanness and organization. On top of that you get a warm welcome by the host. Highly recommended.

My family and I had a great time whilst staying with Ahmed and his team. The flat is comfortably spacious with high ceilings and well equipped. Yosef’s breakfast is tasty and nutritious and he is supportive and welcoming. They are all so Nice we extended our stay. Ladies and gents what are you waiting for? Please Don’t hesitate to book these charming flatlets on the Westbank very close to the river Nile you wont be disappointed. The tours are excellent and Ahmed, Mohammed Ale and Yousef have great knowledge of their country and will make your stay a memorable experience.

From pickup at the airport to transfer back to the airport, absolutely every part of our 5 day break was amazing. Check in was super easy and I cannot thank Ahmed enough for his amazing and attentive support every step of our break. He is a credit to Luxor! Beautiful surroundings. High quality apartments. This place is heaven. Already looking to return next year!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! First of all, the location is amazing — it’s in a very quiet and clean area, which made it feel like a true getaway. The host, Peter, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly helpful both before check-in and even after I checked out, which I really appreciated. The place itself is spotless, well-organized, and looks exactly like the photos. I also loved the thoughtful gesture of the complimentary snacks and water — it made me feel very welcome. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. We loved our stay here. Everything was very clean and Mr. Ahmed was very nice and welcoming for our stay. He was very flexible for our check in and check out. That was the best because everyone knows when your long flights lands very early and check in isn’t until 3, it would be a pain. Mr. Ahmed was very nice to let us come early and rest after our flight.

We had a great time! Mohamad was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful, the flat is perfect, very spacious and clutter free and Mangroovy had a great beach, beautiful pool and was a walkable distance to the marina which had lots of great restaurants!!

Our stay at Maged’s place in Cairo was truly exceptional. Communication was effortless, with clear instructions and quick responses. Maged even helped us arrange a private car, which made our arrival smooth and easy. The apartment was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The large balcony overlooked a famous mosque and offered a peaceful spot to relax. The gated property felt completely safe and secure. What made this stay truly unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of Maged’s father, Mr. Mohy Elprince. His calm, kind, and generous presence made us feel instantly at home. He helped us with anything we needed, brought us delicious local Koshary, and even gifted us lovely souvenirs from Egypt. His thoughtfulness touched our hearts. Maged was also respectful, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. Thank you both for such a warm and memorable experience. We’ll always cherish it and definitely hope to return when we visit Cairo.

Super helpful to let us leave our bags when we transferred from one unit to another. Responsive host who even gave us some fresh thinner sheets to use for sleeping. Good spot!

Amazing discovery! Osman's accommodation is perfect for a vacation. The residence has a large swimming pool and a 24-hour caretaker. The apartment is clean, new and very well located. Osman is a really good host. He takes the time and does not hesitate to recommend places!

My family had a great stay at Ineke and Azzab's place. West bank location allowed us to explore a more relaxed side of town, but still had plenty of walkable restaurant options. Super helpful in setting us up with a very good tour guide and hot air balloon. The house came with staff for transportation and breakfast (both cost extra, but well worth it for our family) that were excellent, helpful, and welcoming. Place was clean, secure, and comfortable with all the amenities we could need.
