This is a Kyo-machi house with nearly 100 years of history, while preserving the traditional structure and charm, it has been transformed by Japanese designers, incorporating the comfort and utility needed for modern life. There is a floor heating system throughout which makes it nice to stay even in the winter. There are two separate toilets, a bathroom that is thoughtful to meet the needs of multiple people staying.The bathroom has a bathtub with a view of the garden, so you can take a hot bath and relax your body and mind. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking yourself during a long stay and enjoy the charm of Kyoto's local ingredients. TABITABI KANOE MITSU

Tabitabi Kanoe Mitsu is a fully renovated, over 100-year-old Kyomachi house, located right next to Rokubo-Ritsu-Ji Temple, and is limited to one group per day. Looking from the entrance, you can see the garden spreading beyond the Yukimi Shoji sliding screen. It features a large palm tree. When you open the window from the living room, the semi-open-air bath directly connected to the garden invites guests to the best healing experience regardless of the season. The bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, produced in a kiln in Shiga Prefecture. The far infrared effect warms the body to the core and makes it difficult for the bath to cool down. Why not relax from the daily grind while enjoying a drink and taking in the beautiful Japanese garden? The Japanese-style room on the second floor features a shoji screen with a Mondrian-style design. The bedroom headboard is designed to resemble the Tateyama mountain range. Please forget the daily hustle and relax.

In a quiet space near Gion Shirakawa, It is an inn where you can heal your mind and body while facing yourself. By living in this inn, I took care to ensure that my heart was in order. We offer our special tea and tea utensils to help you relax and release tension. The crafts, furniture, and artist-made vessels from 100 years ago seem to sharpen the senses. A bed that allows you to naturally concentrate on your breathing when you lie down. We also offer double gauze pajamas that gently wrap around the body. While it is in an ideal location for sightseeing, with Gion, Yasaka Shrine, and Chionin within walking distance, You can spend a quiet time.

We opened this guest house in October, 2017. It is the middle of downtown in Kyoto. It is 5 minutes walk from Kawaramachi station(Hankyu line). From Shijo station, it is 10 minutes walk. From Shijo station to Kyoto station is 4 minutes by subway. Our guest house is next to Shin-kyogoku dori, there are many restaurants, souvenir shops, convenient stores, fashion items, 100yen stores.... It is easy to access to Nishiki-ichiba(we called the kitchen of Kyoto, market), Teramachi dori, Gion on foot.
